No. I edited a few words in the document and resubmitted. Still waiting. And no sent back message?
None of my paltry prior 7 stories got sent back and were all approved within 2 or 3 days.

Do that. It's hard to know when you've waited long enough, but if you're not a new writer, a week, otherwise, I'd say two weeks. Unless you're posting in illustrated category (ffs why??) in which case, substitute months for weeks before resorting to that.Delete the stuck story and resubmit
Good luckNo. I edited a few words in the document and resubmitted. Still waiting.

This has been mentioned multiple times across probably all ~half a dozen thread about the issue, repeatedly by @EmilyMiller . So far, it seems to be the most effective workaround until we know more and/or the problem is resolved on Lit's end.The other thing you can try, which has worked for some here, but funny how no one keeps mentioning it:
Delete the stuck story and resubmit. Often, the story will go through because the issue here appears to be that stories are getting lost in limbo in the que and Laurel doesn't 'see' them. Re-submitting is a chance to get it back in the list where it belongs.
I think it’s also because I put it a part of series - and the series cover needs to be moderated, which is why I think it’s taking time,Tell us how it goes. It took me three days after resubmitting to get approved.
One of two approaches.I've been pending for 34 days, and I'm thinking of trying the "withdraw and resubmit" tactic. But I can't find where to withdraw / delete a pending submission? It's probably right in front of me but I don't see it. Where do I go to do that exactly?
The series cover art shouldn’t delay the publication of stories - it hasn’t for me.I think it’s also because I put it a part of series - and the series cover needs to be moderated, which is why I think it’s taking time,
Awesome, thank you for this reply! One of two approaches.
Go into your pending folder and make a change - just add a space or something - and press save. That will put it back in your drafts. Then either delete it and recreate from scratch, or just resubmit. Just resubmitting worked for me, but I know that other people have deleted and recreated. This is far from an exact science.
I have 75. My latest is stuck. If you have published fifty stories* without incident, you attract less scrutiny. That’s based on both common sense and a couple of things Laurel has said to me.
This is my point.I have 75. My latest is stuck.
I did that. The resubmission is now stuck.Delete the stuck story and resubmit.
Open the story in Pending. The little wheel icon, upper right. Click that. You can delete it there. Then you resubmit the way you'd submit a new story.I've been pending for 34 days, and I'm thinking of trying the "withdraw and resubmit" tactic. But I can't find where to withdraw / delete a pending submission? It's probably right in front of me but I don't see it. Where do I go to do that exactly?
I suspect the edit is the reason for the continued delay, especially since it was not in response to specific concerns in any review.No. I edited a few words in the document and resubmitted. Still waiting.

Yeah - I really hope the comp entries get sorted out.It will be interesting to see what happens on 2 October when the Lit ‘official’ Halloween contest kicks off. Several Halloween stories, including mine, are hung in Pending. If there is a priority and some type of forward momentum, we should see these published.
Try clicking the gear icon of your story, while on the Drafts tab. You should see this:I just resubmitted. I left a note for the mods. I got tired of waited after 14 days.
I could not find a way to find the delete button when the story is in draft.
Can anyone point it to me (Screen shot preferred)?
Thank you in advance
