If there was one item you could take

MS is a musician, a very good musician. He writes the music and lyrics to all his band's songs, and plays lead guitar. (He *won't* sing.) I already have what i'd take from him if i had to take something: 60+ minutes of the songs he's written and recorded with his band.

Some of them are wild and fast.
Some are slow ballads.
Some are hard edged and some are love songs.
Some were written for me or with me in mind.

No one ever wrote songs for me before MS came into my life.

I made my mother listen to them as we drove from San Diego to LA last summer. Even she was impressed.

That's what i would take (keep).

I would want the following to remember a love by; a video tape that is a collage of her just having fun with me, with others, doing something she loves like singing along with a song on the radio, walking on the beach, cuddling with me - happy times. That would be the best - I could hear her voice, see her face and watch her have fun.

Along those lines - one of my most treasured photos of my daughter was when she was a little girl so young she was barely able to run - chasing a beach ball blown away from her down the beach. I remember that day; I had to take the photo, then run like hell to catch up with her, then grab her up and chase the ball which almost got away from us. Happy times.
