if I have a bone to pick
with the poets
where do I post
no thread to host
my rant
I could start a new one
a ton of bricks
would go over better
words so cold
you need a sweater
I bet I'd get
moderated
cross referenced with
the appropriate response
retaliation swift
swallowing my poetry
and mixing it with bile
miles of it
until those poets
take a shit

Do it here. ;)

Bones are being picked?
Well if we're picking and choosing our bones, make mine a double. I'll wish for the two nobbly bits on either side of the pubis bone. (Part of the pelvis I guess.)

Don't ask me why. They modulate the flow of skin so nicely in an area that already has more than its fair share of compound curvature.

Passive-aggressiveness sucks monkey's ass. Makes everyone wonder what you're going on about. Good for poetry, not so good for bone-picking. ;)

Wow!

...and not one of you said anything about boners. I'm amazed.

:D

I... uh... got a grip on that whole boner urge I felt coming on.

By the way, what do we do with this thread now that it's here? Is it offically the boner thread, now? Should there be boner poetry? There's always room for boners.

Being blessed/cursed with a Y chromosome, I am of course more interested in the feminine inverse structure. I do realize that topologically they are equivalent (where's Cordelia when we need her?) but topology must take a back seat to certain structural dynamics... not to mention rhetorical and aesthetic considerations.

Do I make myself clear?

when I find stuff like that in my head, I try to sweep it under the childhood traumas that are buried toward the back. ;)

unlock the sticky about the E poems, so we can talk about them, on that thread.

that'd be a good start.

Why not talk about them on the poetry chat thread or another thread? It's a good idea to have a few threads locked and stuck so others can find information, links, etc. more easily and without wading through volumes of chat. I love the talk that most of our threads inspire, but it's not bad to have a few threads untouched. How about I copy that thread for discussion--unlocked and unstuck?

Okay, that only took a minute. There's an unlocked E thread open and ready for discussion. Actually, I think it's interesting to look through the E and W poems to see what readers and editors found to be the best. :)

Did you just say passive-aggressiveness is good for poetry? And what the heck is darkmaas on about with bones? He only has two? And oy what a two. He's thinner than I pictured....

He's bony? Well, bless his skinny heart. Poor thing. Bet you could plant him in the front yard and a bird would pull him out for breakfast, bless his heart. (yup, this southern blessing thing really works. :) )

You gave darkmaas a southern blessing? A Jewish blessing is called a brucha. Anyway I don't think he's quite that skinny. I saw a pic. He's about normal. To look at.
