I turn around and head back to my truck when I see scenes like the one in Lowes that you described. Fortunately I have some choices for building supplies, so the ones that recognize the health crisis reality are the ones that get my business.

Some of the businesses have found a niche with people who want to order and pay on line, with them bringing your merchandise outside when you call in to pick up your order.

It will take several waves of infection for the mask thing to become more of a social requirement. There are a lot of reality-denying Americans.

I use methyl alcohol spray to disinfect my hands, my near top of the line 3M N95 mask and everything I touch.

You want about 70% alcohol. Too high and it evaporates without breaking down the exterior of the virus. Viruses work by releasing proteins through that exterior, and water is what is able to pass through that. You need the water to convey the alcohol into the virus to disassemble the proteins
