Like so many things, my idea of a perfect Christmas has evolved with my age and experience. I've gone from wanting the entire line-up of Star Wars toys, and a bicycle, to dreaming of a white Christmas with tons of friends and family. To just wanting a nic quiet Christmas with my close family. Last year it was a log cabin in the mountains surrounded by great friends.

This year I haven't gotten into the holiday scene yet. I tend to be nostalgic this time of year, but so far just not in the whole Holiday mood.

What is your idea of a perfect Holiday? If you could be anywhere with anyone doing whatever, what would you choose?

As long as I can watch my kids rip open their gifts, thats my kind of holiday.

I love their excitement.

Just the two of us Christmas eve...all of our little ones snug in bed...in a cabin in the snow covered mountains. A crackling fire hot cider. Snuggling. Just being. Then christmas morning all the little angels so excited about what Santa has brought. Then making a huge feast together in the kitchen while the kids make cookies at the table. Sitting together enjoying each moment, after dinner is done... getting on the floor with the little ones and playing and playing and playing till they are so sleepy we have to carry them to bed. Then a hot bath together, crawling under the covers and making love. Curling up and going to sleep...together. Thankful for the greatest gift of all...love.

I am so hating christmas this year.

It's usually spent on a remote island with a promise for warm weather. White lights adorn palm trees. Our main meal is a seafood smorgasbord. Santa sails in our port donning Bermuda shorts and a button down Hawaiian shirt. Buffett is singing, Ho, Ho, Ho, And a Bottle of Rum in the background.

<sigh>

Can't wait.

But we did that last year!!!!

Can we not try for something a little more exotic! Like a beachfront house on the cost of Mexico. Stay up Christmas Eve on the beach having a bon fire well the lil ones make sand castles and roast marsh mellows. The two of us, snuggled under a blanket watching them as the fire flickers and burns bright! Then Christmas morning, going for a skinny dip before the little ones wake up!
