Because i'm bored, and because i haven't posted a poll yet (gasp!), here is.

Which ice cream do you prefer? What particular flavor?

Blue Bunny is a really great brand. They have this raspberry cheesecake that is to DIE for!

Fudge ripple--the kind you got in a cup with a wooden spoon off the ice cream truck. Because the chocolate part crystalizes. Yum. Also fudgsicles.

Of course, real heaven is coconut-fudge-ripple

Ben and Jerry's makes this flavor, and damned if I remember its name, but it's a combination of chocolate fudge brownie and chocolate chip cookie dough. Give me a pint and a spoon, and I'm a happy girl.

mmmm...let me eat it off your fingers, doll baby?

Your poll is flawed. You have the bucket brands, and cheap stuff. I want the gastronomic, multiorgasmic taste symphony marvel for a minor fortune/bowl that the café three houses down makes.

God, I just love that AV, Liar. It makes me laugh ever time I see you.
[t/j] over.

I used to be addicted to Ben & Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk. But recently I picked up a pint of Fossil Fuel because they were running a sale at the market. I think I've got a new favorite. Mmmmmmm!

There's a (somewhat) local brand, Tilamook, that makes a great chocolate fudge one. Can't think of it's name, but it's like $3 for a half gallon and OH SO YUMMY.

Must.... resist.... urge.... to go.... to the freezer....

I like the cheap stuff, the stuff with the artificial flavors and the alginates and polysorbate 90 and all that crap. It's creamier, has better mouth-feel, doesn't separate or freeze, the flavors are brighter, and of course it's a lot cheaper. They don't do the fancy flavors, but for the basics, I like 'em cheap and trashy.

We once had a blind taste test between Haagen-Dasz, Baskin Robbin, and Fieldcrest, which is the cheapy Osco brand. We tested vanillas, and the Fieldcrest won.

Better living through chemistry, says I.

For a minute there I forgot you were talking about ice cream, not your taste in women.

As in ice cream, so in love. I like my women frigid and full of chemicals, as long as they melt when I get them in my mouth.

There's a local place that makes a lot of their own flavors. One of my faves is the strawberry cheescake. The also make a great make a great fresh peach.

Ben and Jerry's just hasn't been the same since they sold out.

Ben & Jerry's...

Darn it! My ice cream truck is losing in the polls! You people are way too spoilt by this fancy, expensive ice cream. You just stoll into the supermarket and get it off the shelves. Hah! When I was a kid, we would chase that white truck playing the obnoxious music for three blocks or more. And when we finally got our chance at the window, we were happy, happy I tell you, to buy a simple sidewalk sunday or cheap-o ice cream sandwich.

Darn modern kids don't know the value of real, mass-produced, dirt cheap, American ice cream!
