I Wonder 2

I wonder why the world tries to operate in clear distinctions of black and white when we clearly live in a spectrum of greys. It doesn’t take a lot to look beyond our own perspective and prejudices to understand a situation differently, and often more clearly. And yet we are often our own worst enemies; where stubbornness and that fickle sense of entitlement inevitably becomes our undoing.

I simply wonder why people aren’t more loving to each other.

The most thought provoking post I've seen in a long while. I've often thought that we are living in such a 'me me me' world, where thoughtfulness is seen as weakness, and enemies are so handily designated as anyone who doesn't share our opinion, that it's hard to see a way through as a people.

The inability to see those shades of grey is (to me) indicative of the 'pack mentality groupthink' that enables people to surrender their own moral and ethical thoughts to a stance that keeps them out of trouble with the extreme elements of both sides of any issue.

Reasonable thought cannot be allowed to be intimidated. We cannot 'go along to get along'.

There! Now that that's solved...:)

I wonder why the Philly city council, thinks banning bullet proof glass in some businesses, is a good idea.

I wonder what is the age that one stops wanting to be read to whilst falling asleep.

I also thank the heavens for audiobooks. They definitely help with this particular issue.

I wonder if Americans realize just how biasied, fucked up & full of shit their news is, specifically CNN??

L:rose:

I wonder if the next thing she tells me is that Fox news is unbiased and objective?

LOL...no such thing as unbiased news in the States
I don't lean left or right but the left is worse for news since one idiot beat out the other idiot.

L:rose:

I wonder if I should even try.
The last time this happened, it took too much energy to clear my name.

Leigh....

It is SO obvious, their leftist slant. Its almost like propaganda, like NPR. TV and radio are ruined; I read the WSJ. But then again, I am an investor with M.A. in History.
