Lifetime Television continues to deliver millions of your petition signatures to Capitol Hill, urging Congress to ban "drive-through" mastectomies — the practice in which women are forced out of the hospital sometimes only hours after breast cancer surgery...

While both the American College of Surgeons and the American Medical Association believe that most patients require a longer hospital stay, "drive-through" mastectomies have become an unwelcome reality for women who are battling breast cancer. Against the advice of their doctors, women must leave the hospital while still in pain, groggy with anesthesia and with drainage tubes still in place.

I did...and then sent it out to about 45 other people, asking each of them to forward it on also! Thanks for this Arden...people don't realize that besides this being a painful and possible life altering practice, it costs Insurance companies much more in revised care that could have been prevented. And we all know how the insurance companies recap that revenue...thats right, by digging into the pockets of people who CANNOT afford it!! And then congress can't understand why people can't afford Health Insurance!! It's a viscious cycle...and the more we can petition, and bring it all to light, the better chance we all have of keeping our money in the bank, where it belongs!!!

I wish he would email. The distance between us seems further when I don't hear from him at all...

i wish you were here ....

to hear the birds chirping their welcome

to see the crocuses that are blooming

the smell of the earth as the farmers prepare the fields for planting

and most of all, your great grandson playing outside.

i see you in his eyes

i hear you as the birds sing

i feel you in my heart today more than ever.

and i miss you.
