Came from a song and was basically a nickname for those women doing what was men's work, while the men were away. I guess a comparison would be Joe Blow.

Thread drift: well, let them stop me. Yes, there was a song. They don't make music like that anymore, thank God! The second clip: all of that work can be gone in an instant. War is a very strange thing if you look at it closely.
