Libertarians are the city slicking red headed step-half sisters of the freedom movement as far as they're concerned. Militia people believe in much the same things, but unlike Libertarians they're fully aware of the kind of world that their ideals will bring about.

They live in the woods, survive on their own resources, and don't rely on the Government for anything they're not required to. These guys experiment with stuff like biodiesel-powered generators that run on used veggie oil, and other methods of sustainable self-sufficient living. They're good and conscientious hunters, making use of a whole animal and in the case of this group that I know, rarely hunting just for trophies. They practice conservation, they can take care of most of their own wounds, and so on.

They also know that city-slicking moderates like me have good reason for what we believe in. It's a consistency thing. That, and it probably also has something to do with the fact that I respect these guys, too.

Libertarians would drop dead after a week in their compound.. either that or run home screaming to momma.

Me being the only idiot that's steeply climbed to get inside a mountain lion's den got me thinking--why? The best I can piece together, my car had broken down so I couldn't go snowboarding or to work. I spent way more than a couple days looking for stashed gold, I lived in an old mining town so it was remotely plausible. However, all my bills paid and I still wouldn't enter the abandoned mining shaft--scary looking. So a treasure hunter might deserve to get chased by a mountain lion once in their life. Bicyclers and kids don't, that's the delineation I'll give to noticeably disagree with the initial post.

PJ pointed out to me I might get some shit over my post from those with family in the Military. No respect intended. I am ex Air Force. Our military protects us and our country. I am thankful we have those woman and men protecting us, but no one is protecting are rights. It is sad that they are ran by the goverment. I love are country but do not care for my goverment. The goverment is taking more and more of are rights away and we are doing nothing about it. They are taxing us on almost everything now a days and we stand by and let it happen, because we are affraid. They say we are traitors if we do not follow them and their beliefs. I am not a traitor to my country just the facist capitalist that run it. Our four fathers are rolling in their graves(Militia men themselves) at the way the US is ran. I am only one person with an opinion, but I can make a small difference for others.

The funniest thing about the Libertarians on Lit is that they're stumping for George W "USAPATRIOT" Bush instead of sticking up for their own party.
