And I miss it. Wish I could still do that - at least some times... guess I'm past actually wanting to do it EVERY day but every now and then would be nice.

I understand perfectly. Not that I was ever a real party animal, but to go all night and day...yes...would be nice to do again.

Btw... love your new title. Absolute perfection:)

If I partied like I used to...I would be dead. I aint kiding you there either.

Though I do know what you're talking about Dill.

Yeah....

I used to go everyday...then it dropped to no more than three days in a row.......then down to once a week.

Now I'm at twice a month......what are we talking about, again?

I think my body and mind were made to party. I am just taking a vacation until I get to S.F. After all, there is nothing like cutting loose in a new city. At 32, I am am still as voracious and explorative as my youth, but it's because I choose my path and I will be the esoteric old man that can still kick to the young ones, while reserving my past and future with stability, ha!

We all have our "needful things" and approaches in life, but I have always been one step behind and two ahead. :D

Hey! You all still got it, but it fosters a new persistence and meaning. I know you can still party, but you have to be open to the possibilities, no?

I can't do the party thing anymore

first off, I don't really want to. Second, I'm too old for that shit.

:) All I want is to rent a good movie, cuddle with a good man and have earthshattering sex. That's not asking too much is it?

Not at at TNV - just a different type of partying... yes?

Me too Xander - but I could handle every now and then...

Chef - watching the opening ceremonies for the Olympics - but you know what, I think the Parade of Nations would be a lot cooler with Dazed and Confused or The Crunge playing.

Thanks Juicy - I like it, I just hope it doesn't come off as to presumtuous.

verge - I'm 44 - still have the will to party - only recently learned my body is more mortal than I had thought...

bluemoose - hell, I'd go for once a month... guess it depends what you mean by partying - i still go out... but can't say I've REALLY PARTIED in ages...

And btw - I really did Rock n' Roll all night - played in a band for years and years... up all night rocking - some sleep - and then up partying until it was time to rock again.

Helooohooo! Let's define "partying" and how we did and do it as of late. I think it would give a better introspective, no? Hey, it does not mean drink your ass off all night, stumble into a haze or dance your hips into the flashing lights at all. I think we all still party one way or another—we just approach and allow it to unfold differently. After all, the form might change, but the "content remains the same." I know how my body is reacting Dillinger and I just reserve my best times when the opportunity knocks and smacks me silly. I think my idea of partying is getting laid or giving to a lover in public, but it's also culturing myself and allowing the newness in my oldness to mature and embrace the experiences that revolve in my life. Besides, a night of partying or a night of partying and sex, lmao!

I can stay up for hours if I am out but if I am home and have had a couple of drinks then I need my bed. Note that I did NOT say that I needed to go to sleep though. ;)

BUt, you never said what you would do if you slept. The minds might wander, but you know the "real deal." :p

all I could think of was skidaddle when I saw that word! Don't ask me why!

It would more be like skidadle or skidoo. When the Flatiron building went up in the 30's there was a wind tunnel, causing women's skirts to rise from the wind chaneel. The keystone cops with say, "Skidoo" to the perves and that is wher 21 skidoos came from. Excuse the typos, but I am not in the mood for perfection. Well, I guess I will offer and all expense paid not to chat it up with anyone in NYC. Well, Regina, hurry up and give me a ring, otherwise here to a bum night, but hey! We are here and they are there…

Like I say. "no expectations, no disappointments."

*sigh* I remember those days! Partying till the early hours, nap a little and away ya go again. :)

I too am way past "Rocking around the clock," and more into as seldom as possible! When the stepson had his 18 th party and 50 guests I couldn't wait for them to go home. Mainly 'cos of the responsibility, cooking, cleaning up and watching the gals and guy carefully who were imbibing way too much. And lol :( we lost one teenager for half hour. Turned out he was asleep in a car.

About 8 of them stayed the night.

But I know what you mean! Damn how did we do that? Party for hours! Seemingly endless energy.

Im not old (32) just *snigger* more mature in my partying outlook. A few drinks, music and some good company makes a great party for me.
