Hello everyone. I just figured it was about time I stopped lurking and started posting. Right now it's just me posting in this forum, but when my wife returns from Iraq she will be too. I'm not going to ask that anyone takes it easy on me, I would prefer to know when I fuck up and how to fix it.

I am in my early 20's and my wife is about 9 years older than me. When we were married we were both very curious about the whole BDSM lifestyle. She introduced me to it while we were dating, and is deffinately submissive, but unfortunately everything kind of fell by the wayside with her going to basic training and AIT. Just after training when we were getting settled in and starting to get back into things she got deployed to Iraq... unfortunately she still has about a year over there.

The situation sucks, but we are trying to make the best of it. One of my big problems has been asserting myself, somedays it's easy, sometimes it's not... mainly just seems to be a confidence thing for me. Ever since we have been married I have become a lot more comfortable with myself and now I just can't wait to explore everything we have written and talked about. :devil: It all seems so dirty and new.

Enough of that. I do have a question to ask. I have been looking at strap-ons online. Despite being submissive she really seems to have a thing for my ass... which is fine by me. I know she really wants a strap-on, but would probably never get one on her own, so I figured I have about a year to shop for one and it will be a nice/naughty little surprise for her when she gets home.

Anyways, does anyone here know of a good place to buy one, or any specific styles that seem to work better? I have looked at JT's Stockroom and kind of liked the FeelDoe... but wasn't sure. The kind have extra straps to fasten around the thighs work best, but you still have to hold it a bit to keep it aimed properly.

Don't be too concerned about asserting yourself. You'll find the more you take control, the easier it gets, and the more "normal" it feels.

Here's a link to a strap on similar to the one I use. It's not detachable, so you don't have to worry about it slipping off the harness just when things get going. The smaller dildo attached for Me is just a nuisance as far as I'm concerned, but you'd know if your wife would enjoy it or not. They have many other strap ons on the site.

Thanks for the welcome and the info so far. The part about the thigh straps definately makes sense.

Taking control has been coming easier... hopefully after this seperation I will have many more ideas. I have been making a list of things that interest me, things to explore, reading this forum has added a quite a few.

One thing I would like to add is that aesthetics are important to me, as I tend to involve my camera in most of the things we do. :D

Thanks Sky! That's the one I looked at on JT's Stockroom... all the places I have seen it have nothing but praise.

It's odd though. The site you linked describes it as not requiring a harness, yet JT's says it's for use in a harness... or maybe it's just harness compatible... I will have to look into it... but I think I will buy it. Looks like fun either way.

It will be a while, but maybe when we get to try it out I will post a review. I'll look forward to it. :D

It sounds like it is worth the money. She has really done her homework.

If I had one toy to buy it would be the Feeldoe Jr. The bigger one might be better for ff, but the smaller one apparently works great without a harness since being smaller it doesn't get yanked out of the woman by a man's smaller ass. (The vibe is a nice addition as well, according to Mr. Happy.)
 
I posted this somewhere else too ... but I've heard that the nexus and nexus jr are better than the feeldoe - you can find both of them at http://blowfish.com and honestly, they are about a cheap as you will find them there (I've done research every time that we think we have the money for the toys that we want, and I've never found the ones that we want any more than $1-2 than they are there).

A site, perchance?? I know that the blowfish site has lots of variations, but I'm all for looking other places as well, and I have to have something that does not contain latex.
 
I've never tried the Feeldoe myself, but I'm a devoted Nexus fan. We have both the regular Nexus and the Nexus Jr, and I love 'em! The harnesses we use (my gf and I each have our own) are the two-strap kind (as opposed to the thong kind) and I think they are from Stormy Leather. :)
