Of course there are the things that turn me, mature women, stockings, curvy women, etc. But I think the real thrill for me comes from logging on and seeing there's an unread message waiting for me. There's an exciting possibility that someone out there is showing an interest. Even though I know it's not gonna go anywhere, or I can sense the person isn't going to reciprocate my interest, there's nothing quite like opening a message from some strange woman. It's like a surprise gift that could be anything. That hope that there could be a treat for you in store. Anyone else feel me on this?

I totally understand about discovering that there is a new PM waiting for me. Sadly, though, the mystery and wonder before clicking open a PM tends to be stronger than any feelings once I've read it.

The "hey how r u?" or the "ur pix is hot wanna chat thx" messages come more often than not.

I completely get this. I haven't had any surprise pm's on lit, but I definitely have the "you've got mail" bug. It kinda makes me wish I was still on Facebook. Or just to get a pm.

I love getting PMs - unsolicited or not. True, some can be disappointing once you open them, but generally the standard is high on here - us blokes may get less messages but I'm sure they're mostly of a higher quality than the ladies get on here!

There is something quite exciting about getting a pm out of the blue.

I gotta say, I'm not a big poster on the boards - I tend to kill a thread (what with the lack of avatar and photos, I trust most people think I'm something I'm not). So I do lurk around others posts, spot similar interests and break the ice via pm.

Sadly, there's a huge percentage that simply ignore your polite or relevant messages.

But when someone does respond or pm out of nowhere, there's no doubt I get a little flustered....
