Brotherhood sucked

Sorority boys was funny it fed my twelve year old boy spirit.

I would so love to sit down on the couch with a good friend tonight and watch rented movies.

You should invite somebody to join you, St. V.

You and me. Right here. *pointing to my eyes* I picked that one first.

Groucho Webster...

You were right. Sorority Boys was funny. Hope you weren't right about Brotherhood. It's next.

Okay. Brotherhood of the Wolf did not suck, but it wasn't great either. Visually stunning. Great action. Where it fell short, and this is the case with most action films, was the story. It's almost like the writer tried to cram everything that fancied him in one story. Social upheaval pre French Revolution style, Martial arts, Dangerous Liasons type romance, Native American culture, a touch of voodoo, an Italian whore who actually works for the church, and even a furry fish. Other than that I liked it.

I kinda liked that one...except at the end...but still - not bad.

Igby Goes Down is great. That Kirin Culkin kid has genuine talent.

Nora needs to get out more. :D

Didn't you hear her steadfast commandment?

Nora shalt not see movies made after 1993.

It's a fact. She wrote it in stone. It was a soft stone, but a stone, nonetheless.

We need to find her some good moves to rent. :D

She's a stubborn one. She'll look at the date and say, no way, jose! She'll even make a scene in blockbuster when she does that fantastic imitation of rainman on acid.

That too.

:D

(but emoodie's hit the nail on the head. I just got way picky about new stuff and I'm rarely exposed to ads for them n' stuff)

There's a remake of "The count of Monte Cristo" that's on the shelves now. I picked it up out of curiousity, and was very glad I did.

I was actually amused with the anachronisms in it. His sidekick guy talked like he was a gang member in the present.

I liked it too, though I thought the dialouge was too modern sounding.

I think that's why I liked it - the obvious past/present collisions.
Kind of cute.

Jinx, you owe me a coke. Maybe not the same words, but the same essence. ;)

Trust me, you don't want that job. Ask Emoodie. I'm really, really, really picky.

I could be talked into The Count of Monte Cristo, but only cuz Guy Pearce is in it. :)

Yup. Would you like 12 ounces? 20? Fountain coke? Vanilla coke? Diet coke? Caffeine free coke? Caffeine free diet coke?
