The cardiologist hadn't told me to yet because I don't see him till the 22nd. But the test last Monday confirmed a heart condition since the age of 11. I am not waiting I quit this morning!

good for you, hatara! I'm so proud of you! I hope that you do well with it, and you're doing it for a very good reason.

:) Cheers,
Vix

Best of Luck with your health and hope you stay strong and kick the habit!

YEA!!!!! Good luck and feel free to lean on us when it gets tough. I'm sure we can all come up with countless ideas to keep those fingers, and lips busy ;)

Congratulations on quitting. Be sure and keep lots of suckers and stuff nearby to help the temptations.

I am sorry that you have a heart condition. You are in my heart and prayers

New point of view......

you're just between smokes.

I've been between smokes for quite a while now, you were standing beside me when I had my last one.

You can do this baby girl, you have lots of people behind you pulling for you but regardless of all of them do it for you.

You know I love you.

Dawn

good luck. I try at least once a year. and fail.

tobacco is evil.

I mean it. I am a hardcore smoker

Thanks everyone I appreciate the well wishes!

Right now it's the hardest cause the new meds are making me so sick and that's when I smoke. But there are none in the house and won't go buy any. I simply refuse! I want to be around a while and enjoy life. I am 35 and have a long way and a lot of sex to go!!!;) :D

Dawn honey I love you, you are the best!

Wow, Hat! You certainly have a lot going on there now!!

All the best with kicking the habit! It took me 5 tries (through 30 years or so), and I think I am finally through!

Between this and the new meds, I hope you'll be able to relax next week when your company arrives!!

All the best!! And now you have an even better "incentive" to feel better!:rose:

Great job hatara.......I know it's difficult......I started again about a month and a half ago......Oh well we all have some vices!!

Sending you positive vibes and an invitation to PM me anytime you need to. Hubby gave up just over three years ago as he had to have a triple bypass. I gave up and then started again. This time around it has been nearly six months.

You go girl! :)

Congratulations! Best of luck to you, you have a hard road ahead, but the rewards will greatly outweigh the temporary struggles. :)

Congratulations, Hatara!! My thoughts and prayers are yours!

I was going to quit at the new year....but I was laid off...and smoking is part of my bad stress-management program.....

I'm still stressed out.....but I have two weeks worth of Zyban.....I'm scared, though.....which sounds weird.

Best of luck to you!!

Nigel
