Wow...

Cool...

Thank you so much!!!

there are also several existing threads with more information so you might want to scroll back several pages looking for titles with "candle" or "wax"

I've been looking, but i just gave up...

I'm lazy...

Well, then you should be bound and dripped on with a beeswax candle!

{Just kidding... those, I believe, would be the opposite of what you asked for.}

I have had a bit of trouble finding plain paraffin candles locally (well, it is hard to tell), but I have found some tall cylindrical religious candles that work for me and a partner.

A lot of times the white emergency candles and plain votives are paraffin. A good number of Ikea's candles are as well, and we've done well with their colored paraffin candles.

You can also buy paraffin through a lot of beauty supply and candle/soapmaking stores, and melt it in a heat-proof container set in a water bath in a crockpot. The religious candles can be set in the crockpot, too.

Because many candles aren't labeled, what we'ved ended up doing is just testing a bunch of light colored candles. I start by pouring some wax in a dish, then testing with my finger. Then I move to dripping from a good distance on the inside of my forearm/wrist. If that seems okay, I'll try small drops on my partner from a couple of feet away, then move progressively closer until I get the desired effect. We haven't had a burn yet. *shrug*

You can also try a paraffin (wax) bath, originally intended for arthritic hands. Homedics makes a nice model with a variable temperature control and a timer (!) that I've used for several years, both for play and for my arthritic hands (I type for a living). It works very well for both purposes, and costs only about $30 (USD) online.

Cool, I'll have to look into one of those if me and my girl friend like the candle play...

When we did it, we used paraffin wax candles... white...

I recommend dripping some on yourself first to check the heat before dripping it on her sesnative areas...
