I had one for the last 14 years.

A couple of weeks ago i cleaned toilets for the first time in all those years. It wasn't too bad. I wore rubber gloves. The house is brand new and so, obviously, are the toilets. They haven't had much time to get too dirty yet.
My daughter was traumatized when i made her clean her bathroom. She'd never cleaned a toilet in her life and honestly seemed not to know that the mirror eventually got dirty and you had to clean it with window cleaner. She's never lived without household help until now.
I told her it would make her a stronger girl, learning to clean her bathroom.
She told me that she didn't want to be a stronger girl and then slammed into her room to call friends and cry to them about what i'd made her do.
Oh well.
Into each life some a toilet brush will come...eventually.
No more, though.

i think i am a maid
i spent sunday and monday in new york city helping a friend pack up and move out of his apartment. i cleaned his bathroom and kitchen for him. the apartment was inhabited by 4 freshmen boys and hadn't been cleaned since october.

It's good for kids to know how to take care of themselves.
I grew up spending Saturday mornings cleaning our house with my mom and brother.
I spent summers working as a deck hand on my dad's fishing boats.
Work is good for kids.

well, i was doing my friend a favor since his 3 roommates left without doing any cleaning and he would be charged for it if the landlord had it professionally cleaned.
