You need to get out more! Foo Fighters, Ra, Queens of the Stone Age? What i did was find a compilation CD with 1-2 bands I've heard of, like soundtracks or concert CDs, as an introduction to new bands and songs.

I found a couple of double CD compilations put out by "Kerrang" magazine. 78 songs for about $45 all up I got Disturbed's album "The Sickness" used for $8. If you hunt around it's amazing what you can find
