I'm a brand new user and need some help from some experienced Lit authors.
My question: I have just submitted an 8000 words story for publication....should I have broken that up into pages or is that done in publication ???

Don't worry. It'll be done in publication.

Ahh...thank you for your response...do you know how many words per page they usually split it up into by any chance ??

One Lit page is about 3700 words.

I saw in another thread that you were worried about it being too long. Don't: there are stories here that are tens of thousands of words. The general consensus is actually that longer stories do better than shorter ones, with a sweet spot about 8-10k words.

If you have other questions, you're best off visiting the Authors' Hangout.

I thinks it's around 3700. If you go to Explore, then Help, there'sa wealth of info on there
