Okay, here's the deal. I'm trying to do my state taxes, and this one thing is confusing the hell out of me. I know, it's pretty sad, but I'm no math whiz. LOL

0.2252641

What the hell kind of percentage is this? 2 percent? 22 percent? I'm rounding the number, but I'm sure some kind soul can help me. Please?

Thanks, Myst. I appreciate it. I'm still hoping for another answer, though. LOL 'Cause that answer will cost me a lot of money. :(

Anybody?

RNAB, I'm doing them myself to save money. Not really my choice, either.

If you are trying to figure out state tax owed... I don't know of any states that charge a state tax rate of 22.5 % Otherwise they better have some damn good public programs! I can help you out if you would be more specific as to what this number is for.

I believe Myst, in her infinite wisdom...is correct..but since the last number is five wouldn't you round it up to 23.0%?

22.5% is correct for the problem stated (typically 3 significant figures is good for this type of stuff). If I was to hazard a guess, the only place on a state tax form where you would be dealing with this sort of number is if it is a partial year resident calculation to determine what amount of tax to pay to a particular state.

April, if you would like some help, feel free to email me.
