I need a RIDE!

I got my 25 year old suzuki, hole on a sec, gotta roll start it, lost the kick starter, and watch yer leg,the muffler is broken.... and ya I know my seat cover is a ripped t-shirt. Ummm...what's pavement? :D

Who cares!? Just slide up a bit and I'll hold on. ;)

Mine is a big bike, Cleo--big man needs large ride LOL. It has hard saddlebags and is made for touring. I love to pack some clothes in a gym bag, stuff it in the saddlebag, and just take off and ride where the bike and my whims take me. Two areas here I love riding in are the Eastern Oregon desert and the Oregon Coast ... both have beauties all their own.

I've got brakes.....

My Panhead is totally safe to ride, and I would not pack anyone without it being so.
I've got mechanical drum brakes, which are different from the disc brakes the new stuff has. If you're in heavy traffic, they heat up and lose their grip faster, and "fade." All I do is compensate for it by changing my following distance. I remind you that I ride differently that the newer sickles, I'm not speeding so fast that I can't stop as the brakes were designed.
As the brakes wear, you adjust them accordingly by hand.

It's all part of the experience of riding a classic motorsickle.

Here's my lil' redhead.

Cleo:

Here is my 'old bike'...an '82 Honda Goldwing GL 1100...comfy to ride! AA

Beautiful, LC. Thanks for the picture. I haven't ridden enough to know the different in ride of a new vs classic, but I can appreciate the time and effort put into anything that's a classic.

Yeah, I hear that Cleo, but unfortunately real life responsibilities have a way of rearing their ugly heads at the most inopportune times...sigggghhhhhh. I have been known to stuff a tent, sleeping bag, clothes, and fishing tackle in those storage areas...take off and go. (The ONLY advantage of being single.) I find a state park in which to pitch my tent, pick up some eats in a nearby town, and ignore the passage of time. We all need to get away for at least a small amount of time from the rat race (which never changes...the rats still win!) LOL

Hehe, my bike may not be hot, but at least my head is good for moving branches out of the way, and I make a good impact cushion, hehe. :D It's great having someone to help push it up the hill when it stalls though.

Put-put, yeehaw!

SO True.

I just have to keep repeating..."This is not forever...this is not forever"

Laughs - I'll just hide behind you and let you take care of the branches. As for pushing uphill, we'll discuss it when the time comes. ;)
