I Need a Prayer thread

My friend's father will be having surgery at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning (Jamaica time) to remove a clot on his brain. This clot has already triggered stroke-like symptoms and must be removed immediately. My friend is an atheist and so will not pray for his father.

Please pray that the father will get better and that my friend will at least consider the possibility that there might be a force greater than himself in this world. He is a nice man, but his arrogance can be a bit annoying at times. In the face of his mother's fear that she will lose her husband it is completely inappropriate.

I'll keep your friend and their family in my prayers, I know how hard it is to see people so closed to the idea of prayer that they won't allow it under any circumstances. God sees and understands and will be in this situation even tho your friend won't realise it.
Prayers also for health and peace for everyone who needs them whatever thier situations. Gods Love is in the world for each of us every moment, even when life is tough.xx

And, if I may? My close friend is having surgery on Thursday. Colon cancer. The third cancer she's been struck with in as many years. She's a strong woman, but this one is really taking a toll on her. So for her, please pray that surgery goes well, recovery goes smoothly and that she won't have to have to go thru any more chemo.

Happy news all. My friends surgery went really really well. They didn't find any more than they knew of, it's not spread. She'll be home Tuesday.

I'd like to send my warmest prayers to all who are in need:

Lord, hear my prayer. Bless those health care professionals who have used their gifts to heal those who are on the road to recovery. Your children are suffering with sickness and need Your anointing. Heal their souls as well as their bodies. Comfort them with Your grace. Because it is Your power alone to do so, please restore their health so that they can be a living testament and rejoice in Your goodness.

Continue to look over all of these special souls with mercy and goodness. If it's Your will, protect them from distress - if not, I ask that you give them the strength to bear the experience.

My friend's father's surgery was successful and he returned home on Friday. The doctors expect a FULL recovery!

how wonderful to see prayers answered in so many cases. I pray for good recoveries for all in need.
And please prayers for my friend Ben, kinda reeling after his 26 year old brother was diagnosed with cancer, for all the family and his brothers newly pregnant girlfriend. Pray for healing and peace for all of them, and the strength to face each day in a positive way. I know Ben is finding it hard to believe his brother will be one of the more fortunate ones and not focus on the non survival figure so i pray that he can find the support and friends he needs to help him as he trys to support his brother.
I pray that my words spoken from my own experience with my daughter were an encouragement that even when it looks bleak there is real hope and miracles happen.

My brother just text me and told me that my sister in law and him lost their baby. She had found out she was pregnant the middle of March. They didn't even know if she could get pregnant and so when she did, they were over the moon.

Lord I ask that you help that couple find healing during this trying time. Help their hearts to not ache from the emptiness and sadness they may be experiencing. They need strength now - for their minds and their spirits. Please be with them as I, and others pray for peace, faith and guidance. Only You are aware of the pain this couple suffers right now; I pray that Your grace will see that they are not destroyed by it. Reveal Your love and comfort them.

She now has an infection and has to have another operation today, Pray for skilful surgeons and safety and healing for Caroline and her baby. Pray for Paul her husband as he cares for little Esme, their daughter and worries for Caroline.

I am deeply sad to hear of this loss...Im not sure we can ever understand the heartaches and losses we face in life...especially when we do not expect that...I am sending my prayers for them to not lose faith ( because in life, that is all we have that matters) ( besides love)...

I pray for a great warmth and peace to fill their heart and minds, that only God can instill...Please let them heal and believe in miracles again, and for their hearts to feel less heavy and to begin healing NOW...and to please bring to their lives, another miracle soon...

Bless those who have been called to heal the sick. Give them Your Divine protection during their recovery.

Be near sereneone4u's acquaintance during this difficult time; uphold her when she weeps. You've welcomed this beautiful angel into Your arms for a reason and I ask that you give this grieving mother and her family reassurance and comfort as they struggle to understand Your purpose.
