I Need a Prayer thread

I will absolutely pray for her and her family. So terrible when kids get so sick. :(

I'm asking for prayers for my father. He's having another major procedure done on his heart on Friday and he's been going through a lot lately. My mother is very worried about him, as am I. Any prayers you could send his way would be most appreciated!!

And the prayers with regard to my divorce situation appear to be working as I've been smiling a lot more lately :)

Done deal. :D

Prayers are going up.

Serene, reading your post made me cry. You are an incredibly brave amazing woman to have gone through what you've gone through (and continue to go through) with such strength. I am so very very sorry for the loss of your daughter. There is nothing worse in this world, in my opinion. I came very close with mine...heart-stopping seizures, lung infections, and kidney failure...doctors telling me to prepare myself to say goodbye. The absolute worst weeks and months of my entire life. I no longer believe that Hell is located on another plane as I experienced it firsthand. It's a humbling moment when you're on your hands and knees weeping in a hospital chapel begging God to allow your daughter to wet her diaper to show her kidneys are finally working. And my experience pales in comparison to yours. I can't even imagine your pain. Your surviving daughter must be an amazing little fighter as well. It's so unfair for children to go through so much. I'm very glad that the doctors' original prognosis turned out to be false and that she can walk and is not mentally challenged. We were warned of the same thing with my girl and she's actually excelling ahead of other kids her age. There was a 98% chance she'd end up brain damaged and a 2% chance she'd be a super genius. I'm so grateful and thank God every day for the blessings he's given her. We don't know if she'll face additional challenges down the road, but come what may, we're ready.

My positive thoughts and prayers will continue for you and your girl. I hope she has a speedy recovery!! {{HUGS}} I'm here if you ever need to talk.

As for your comments on the end of my marriage, thank you for really coming up with the perfect words to put it in perspective. I'm trying to stay strong, but it's not easy. He doesn't want us to split up, but my mind is made up. Has been for awhile.

Thank you for the support and prayers!! Both are much appreciated!! xx :)

Thank you very much, Cinner, for the prayerful support, but please don't feel that you are being selfish in any way. I know how difficult it can be when all you want is a baby and it's just not happening. Believe me, it will happen for you. More than likely when you allow yourself to de-stress and stop thinking about it. :) Being a mother is by far the most challenging, most heartbreaking, most wonderful thing I've ever done. I promise you this, it may not be easy, but it's worth it. It may sound like a cliche, but so be it...the love that you will feel for that child would make you throw yourself in front of a train and die for them, gladly. It's the purest love I've ever felt. And I will pray over and over for you that it happens to you....soon. :)

Thank you so much, Ken :) Very sweet of you! xx

Thank you for your many kind words.:rose:

I can empathize with your experiences...I remember when we received the news that our one daughter would die and our other might...it was the kidneys and multiple birth defects....Twin A had no kidneys...she was using my organs to live, so without my organs, she would die. Giving birth is suppose to be a joyous experience...but for my daughter...I would be giving death...it was horrible being on bed rest and watching the clock...the worst thing was going to pick out her tiny little coffin...I was alone...my h was at work and he would not go with me...I have just recently forgiven him for that...it was so very, very hard picking out her coffin with her hiccuping in my womb. Worst thing I ever experienced next to her actual death...people talk about horror...do they really know what true horror is? I remember praying feverishly for them both to live and the tests to be wrong...at least we have been able to keep one daughter and watch her thrive. She is so happy, strong and resilient. People just love her where ever we go...:) Then when our surviving daughter was helicoptered to a more advanced hospital and I was able to get there and get into the Ronald McDonald hospital...then praying flat out on the ground, begging, pleading...trying so desperately to make deals with God...let her walk, let her eat, let her bowels, etc function properly....two out of three? Okay let her walk, let her eat...no wait...let her walk, let her bowels, etc function...a Sophie's Choice I guess on a much smaller scale....:( It is a work in progress still....:rose:

I continue to pray about your situation, your daughter, you. HUGS:rose:

Prayers for a friend waiting to hear back on a great job offer that would make a great deal of difference for him and his family.:rose:

Praying this evening for all those who have asked and for those who have a need they haven't put into words yet. :rose:

My best friend aka the sister I never had ...

Her sister is in the hospital with a cyst on her ovaries, we are praying that it's not cancer and her surgery is next week.

She does not come here but some extra prayers wouldn't hurt.

Thanks!

Bumping

I would have been on last night, but I had a food hangover from the picnic I attended yesterday. So I slept a ton. Hugs to everyone.

Tonight folks, it's my turn.

I have an interview at the place I work for a better position tomorrow and I need a little help. Everyone has more important stuff, so make mine an add on please. Thanks in advance. :D

Being relatively new on the board, I am still learning all the ropes on how to access the various threads and pm's and such. That being the case, I just now found this thread and am happy to know that in spite of our wild fantasies and other "weirdness," we are also associating with people who know the power of prayer. I am so happy to hear the surgery for sereneone4u's daughter went well, and continue prayers for her continued health issues. And to all the others, too numerous to mention, my prayers are extended for you too.

In a time when we are faced with situations that have no easy answers and solutions, it's nice to know we are part of a "family" of people willing to pray.

Thanks y'all.....

I rocked the interview. I'll find out the results hopefully by this weekend.

Otherwise, bumpin in case there is a need.

I think need is need Azul. Sure some needs are more urgent, more dire, but they are still needs. I will certainly pray that those you interviewed with saw the benefit of having you in the position.

Ms. Texas....I will certainly pray for your friend too.

My prayer request would be for all those on lit who are in need of employment. From what I'm reading and from the pm's I get about this ... their number is pretty high. So please pray for them, that interviewers will call, and then see the value of each of them.

consider it done. I would rather all have work so they can afford the internet connections to stay on Lit.

 Kendra.
