I need a computer program that.....

I'm looking for a computer program that I can build full page glossy magazine advertisements with. Adverts that have the full photo in the background with writing on top of it... I have a great image building program to make up my photos, I just need something to build the advert with now.

Can be a whore to learn but there are some great "Photoshop for dummies" type books out there.

Quark Express is what the pros use for page design and layout... more of a newspaper type thing.... but its easyto use, even my Mum can do it.

PageMaker is cheaper than QuarkExpress but I prefer Quark. Very easy to learn.

I personally just use MS Word or some other MS publishing software if I'm doing something that doesn't require too much messing about.

The problem with Quark is that its PostScript output is crap. If you are going to take your output to a printer for production, then you may wish to ask them what they prefer for output.
