Hey all,

I've been thinking about coming back to the realm of writing erotica, but I am debating how I would do my first story. Any suggestions?

I don't think anyone can figure out the content of your story for you. Pick something that appeals to you and write about it.

Seconded.

Extrapolation

An extrapolation is kind of like an educated guess or a hypothesis. When you make an extrapolation, you take facts and observations about a present or known situation and use them to make a prediction about what might eventually happen.

If you can't surface something to write about on your own, you're not really ready to come back to nonpaid writing, I don't think.

Ideas come at you from everywhere. I wrote a story yesterday just from hearing the Christmas song "Baby, It's Cold Outside" sung. If you listen to the lyrics, you realize that it's a guy trying to keep a woman in his house and get her drunk so he can fuck her. Pretty straightforward in indicating that. I turned it into a male-male one, though.

:(

This is not about you fucktard.

I know that I am going to write something, but I am debating about it. I know that it will be gay or bisexual in nature. I might even do a straight coupling, if the mood strikes me right.

One thing is that I could always take some inspiration from porno, like maybe twisting a story on it's head. Or something like that.

I got a plot bunny from the morning announcements this morning. Winter semi formal. "Come with a friend and save two dollars." Don't worry. None of the participants will be under 18. :D

I know many a porn has inspired many a writer. Pausing the action to visualize a scene works very well.

I know, you want to make it about you. :D

But you'd probably have to actually offer some discussion to get there.

1. You can't make it about me because it isn't about me and you do not know what you are looking at.

2. Who cares what you think?

Hey now, I do like this guy.

If you could see through his writing, you wouldn't. I know he writes lots of gay porn, otherwise he's useless to this site, he just repeats what other people say.

Edit: If you were talking about me, thanks :)

It's OK, PayDay. Missouri and I have taken this discussion off line now. Unfortunately that's what harassers like you are increasingly forcing to happen on the Lit. forums.

rofl @ me being the problem. Every post you make cheapens this website.

This message is hidden because PayDay is on your ignore list. Whew.

Back to the OP. Trying for erotica, eh? I have a triage system:

If sex is irrelevant to the story, it's non-erotic.
If sex is central to the tale, it's erotica.
If sex IS the story, it's pr0n.

So, for erotica, people often (but not always) fuck and/or live through consequences of fucking or not fucking. You're looking for content? Steal it. Plagiarize, AKA learn from the masters. It's not difficult.

Ok, though I might straddle the line between the erotica and porn barrier.

He gave a positive example from personal experience about finding the inspiration to write in everyday places. It was entirely relevant to the discussion, and it was all of two lines. You're really out of left field here.
