But she's not all that bright.

My sister (the one I like) has a 4 year old she doesn't pay any attention to and doesn't even try to discipline. She also has a dog that she lets run wild in her home and the dog is a danger to the little girl. My sister tried all her life to have kids and now that she has one she basically let's her get by with murder which is a spot of argument among me, my sister and my mom. Today I find out my sister is pregnant again, from actually trying.

All I can do is *facepalm*

GAH I want to shake her ><

You can choose your friends but you cant choose your family!
She will find out the hard way, like we all did!

I want to cry when I read of things like this...

As a woman that doesnt have children and wants them.... I would help you beat your sister

My mom is about the only person that child will listen to. We both have jumped my sisters case about how she doesn't pay any attention to her child, and she doesn't make her mind. The poor kid has reressed potty training twice so far.

Now she wants to have another one? I said "pay attention to you first one, and I dunno maybe your dog, before having another one!" she tells me "just because you don't want kids is no reason to tell me I can't have any."

WHAT?

If I had kids I'd at least do right by them... not pretend they know how to take care of themselves! *sigh*

Call Nanny 911 right now.

Seriously, my aunt and uncle had this same situation going on. When their second child was born, it didn't take them long to realize the older child was in need of some ground rules and discipline in order to keep the infant from being injured. Let's hope your sister realizes the same thing. Sheesh, it will be hard work for her by then, though. One thing they did was keep the oldest busy by including her in the responsibilty of caring for the baby. Also, they made sure to get a sitter for the baby once in a while and do things with the oldest alone so that she felt special. Both kids turned out well and not at all the serial killers we expected they'd become. ;)

SUPERNANNY!

that's what she needs.

The fiance has a crush on her... he likes the disciplinarian thang I think <bears it in mind for the future ;)>

You know what, the Nanny 911 sounds like its a good idea, why not try getting them?

I think she needs someone other than family to tell her what kind of job she is doing, specially before the other one shows up. It will be hell for her having a brat and a newborn in one house while she manages without any sleep.
