I like Ships too

2 LM2500 GE gas turbines producing 100,000 shaft horsepower. 16'6" controllable pitch propeller that could take the ship from 30 plus knots to dead stop in two and half times her length (450 foot). 4 1800 horsepower Cummmings diesels that produced 4000 kilowatts of electricity.

Yes, THE JAJ was the senior gas turbine tech engineer and EOOW behind the Chief Engineer.

I should make a ship thread.

Just think, if the Chief Engineer's name was John Cheng, you could call him ChEng Cheng!

Very seriously gnarly !!

( that would, of course, be Cummins )

Little known facts about Jim since this is a ship thread.

The JAJ was the senior member of the BECCE Team (Basic Engineering Casualty Control Excercise) and earned at the time the highest score ever give by LANTFLEET PEB. (Atlantic Fleet Propulsion Examination Board). Your ship couldn't leave the pier unless you pass their exhausting drills.

My wife is do proud.:)

Your wife is one lucky woman!

Sonny may have you in thread views by next week in his Chips thread.

1 post, 1 view.

Don't know how your math is, but that's 100% Mr. Savage.

Keep your chin up ol boy.

He's just tugging on my coat-tails. Laurel will never bump him up to the 5 cents/post I get, nor the 10 cents per thread with a 10/1 ratio

I was going to buy this boat, but it didn't come in yellow
I was seriously looking at this one, too. I got pretty excited when they told me I could buy it for less than $100 million. I thought "Hey, I've got less than $100 million, I could afford this."
