I just got back from my errands

My errands were very specific. A bushel of apples to make applesauce, feed for the horses, and anasazi beans. I also picked up some buckwheat flour for buckwheat pancakes.

I am most excited about the anasazis as they are going to be dinner.

Oh and I'm off all weekend so expect stupid threads from me through tomorrow.

i've never had buckwheat pancakes, are they vastly different from regular pancakes?

i've never had buckwheat pancakes, are they vastly different from regular pancakes?

there is a quality to buckwheat that is almost earthy/nutty; in a very good way. You should pick up a small bag and make some pancakes.

The beans yesterday were a lovely change. Anasazis = no bloated feeling afterward.

This morning, a yummy plate of buckwheat pancakes.

i tried to talk the kids into buckwheat pancakes, they made scrunched up faces.
