Earlier I was watering houseplants I'd set out on the porch when a bird came flying out of one. He(or she) seemed really pissed off and I think it was trying to kill me. It sat on a tree branch and gave me dirty looks the whole time I was watering the plants. It had built a pretty big nest in one of my pots. So, what do I do, evict it while it's not home or wait until fall and see if it moves on?

Maybe I should call animal control again.

Hmmm...birds don't usually stick around in one place very long anyways, do they?

he's gonna call his bird posse, I knew it!
That movie was supposed to end not with them driving out of Bogeda Bay (as it did), but with them coming out of the Marin headlands to find the Golden Gate Bridge covered in birds, poised to dececrate (and defecate on) San Francisco.

actually, we have a bunch of bb guns(sp?) around here.
it really is a cute little bird, despite its attitude.
(people probably say the same thing about me)

Just yesterday, as a matter of fact.

It's probably just had babies. Maybe you could save your watering for night when it's a little more mellow. I don't know how long birds take to grow up and leave the nest, but it shouldn't be all that long. Then maybe your bird will chill out a bit.

Good advice. I think I'll just be really quiet and water it on the side where there isn't nest. My SO put on some gloves and looked around after he'd seen the bird fly off, he didn't see any eggs or babies.

It's actually kind of a good set up, living in the shade with a regular water supply during this drought we've been having. Kind of like a furnished birdie apartment.

Lol, Ted.

As I know how you feel about birds, i imagine this alarmed you, but all will be well. Schererzade is probably right. :rose:  :rose: to you and the birdies. be at peace with your feathered friends...
