This whole troll thing has me thinking.

People who have trolls attacking them get lots of outpouring of love and well wishes. Some of us would love to have love and compliments thrown at us but have never been "blessed" with a troll.

Well, to be honest, I am feeling somewhat left out--so I thought I'd post my own trollism and see if I get love and mushy responses. Can it work? Anybody wanna join me?

Here we go....

I think you are great and to hell with your troll......or rather the non troll that you have. Keep your head up and this thing will go away.

<was this mushy enough?> ;)

I posted my witty remark in the other thread. So all I can do here is offer to do random vaguely sexual acts. Does that count? :D

Please don't feed the trolls, dear.

:)

that line sounds familiar.....

hey lunatic...we've all been here pretty long. if we wanna feed the damned trolls so as to make them stronger healthier more obnoxious trolls, then that means we can get more love and attention...

to all the trolls out there....

PLEASE TROLL ME!!! I FEEL UNLOVED! :(

I figured that if we "over-troll" (troll is a verb there), then they will lose 99% of their power and will only be a shock or discomfort to new-newbies.

See--anytime one of us is lonely or wants pity or just needs attention, we could start one up. Real trolls would lose their power. And we could have a ball at the same time. Especially since we registered users are wayyyyy more creative and entertaining.

help!!..lol

Will someone please fill me in on what a "troll" is? I have to admit my ignorance on this one...as you can see, I'm experienced here, but have yet to find out what this means.

Thank you in advance...

I think we need to have a sticky with the definition of a troll! A troll is someone who posts as unregistered to spew their petty, jealous bullshit. They are cowardly dogs who have nothing better to do with their time than 'troll'. The best thing is just to ignore their lies and they will go away! eventually anyway :)

Maybe we should all be assigned a troll so that when we are feeling sad and blue we could role out the unsightly thang and let the insults flow in a contained manner. Then the warmth of literotica would flow over us like warm syrup and we would feel better. Oh thats insane. Never mind.

What a delightfully acurate and articulate description, thank you Estevie. I vote if the definition goes sticky, we use this one.

Expressolover,

Trolls do have their purpose.

When someone is attacked, others rally around--even when the trolling is done in jest, like in my other current thread. This lets the attacked be aware of the positive affect s/he has here.

Trolls also give others a chance to vent some agression and get it out of their systems before heading back to their families or jobs or whatever.

I, personally, have never really been trolled. No tot my knowledge anyway. I assume that indicates the lack of impact I have here, LOL.

well now, I don't know about the LACK of impact BG. I rather like to thinl that you've made a GREAT impact on me! ;)

Woohoo, Lobito.

That gives me a visual. I might have to go and take some alone time to, uh, think about that for a while.
;)

Blondgirl...

Thank you very much for replying...I am sure that doesn't relate to your lack of impact....I don't really know you yet, but i am sure that it doesn't.

I know now what trolling is and isn't. Thank you for that.
Gee, you guys are so helpful round here!! I am so glad I'm a member of Lit.

Have a warm and wonderful holiday!
