Some here see no reason for a citizen to own a gun....I think they have that right....and if they really believe that let them continue to live in or move to a country with full gun control.

One man mentioned China when a man went on a 'stabing' rampage in a school but succeeded in killing no one before he was subdued. That sounds like a great place for some people.

Now I am a gun owner. I hold a CHL (Concealed Handgun License) in Texas. I have shot on one and treatened no one. But some here lable me a some sort of 'want to be killer' just waiting for an excuse.

Well my friend let me tell you this...millions of legal gun owners killed no one yesterday...But in Chicago in 2012 more people were killed than soldiers on active duty....Check and see how many of those killed lost their lives to criminals...(people with police records..the killing would make them a criminal).

Why do you fear my right to own a gun? Because a nut in Conn killed 20 children in a school? It was not me or my gun.

In the USA every year more are killed on the nations hightways that by guns. In I believe it was 2007 the nation had over 42 thousand killed in the roads and something like 37 thousand plus killed with a gun. Of the deaths by gunshot get this 56% were self inflicted.....

Dont have a full count on sucides so don't know what percent of them was with a gun...but I would look to me like the autombile has killed more then the gun...since the automobile came to be that is.

Now my point, I own a gun...I have killed no one...I have treatened no one....I own a gun for the same reason the anti gun crowd wants the police to have them....and an army to carry them. That is self protection and protection of other...

If the people really think there is no need for gun.....have them take guns from the police first! Why would a policeman need a gun? Why would the army need a gun?

Funny they want the police to protect them. Where were the police for these children?

I say it is funny because the police can not be held reponsible for not stopping a crime. Even if you call 911 and they take an hour to get there they are not liable. The law says the police are not to stop crimes....but to apprehend the criminal after the crime....and the LAW...well it was not written to stop any action.....it was written to punish a person if they did that action...

So folks wake up....the Government....city, county, state, federal, is not here to protect you...it is here to uphold a standard and can only punish people that 'break the law' after the fact.

If all law abiding citizens had the complesion to protect and defend one another the criminals would be well out numbered.....even those in Washinton.....

So now you all know I am tired to the labe the liberals put one me. They want to put their standards on me....but they don't want my standards put on them.....

If you are not going to take them away what is the point in banning them? We sold over 5 MILLION assault rifles alone this week and the numbers are screaming skyward just as fast as they can make them. The gun industry is turning and burning 25/7 right now I grantee it. The guns do not even hit the shelf....

An "Assault weapons" ban right now would not only be 100% ineffective due to the tens of millions in the population but even if they all vanished our murder rate would at most be effected by less than 1% b/c that's all the damage assault rifles do here....
