I've seen people mention a program that you can get for those that have only one phone line. So when you get a call it alerts you through your computer.

Does anyone know what it is and/or how to get it?

You're very welcome HK. I think they have a free trial. You can find those things on www.jumbo.com or www.stroud.com If there are any free ones, you will find them there. (edited to add: tucows.com is another great place to find free downloadable stuff with good reviews)

Sounds like Verizon. I dumped their asses and got cable. Much, much, much faster, and much more reliable... Accept for one little incident, lol.

I don't know what that's called. I've been getting the internet the last three years by putting aluminum foil rabbit ears on top of my head.

My father has something like that on his computer. I think it's called Internet Call Waiting.

Go to radio shack Kitten, they sell a deal by Emerson that does that for you for about 10 bucks. You can recieve calls while still online....phone rings and all...you just cant make outgoing calls.

Its free.


No signals up here in the mountains I'm afraid, Foxy.


I have an answering service with my calling plan that takes messages while I'm online, but I hate having to log off to check them.

Not only do we not have signals for cell's up here, we don't have cable or dsl.
