What so all the symbols mean
Like when this shows up Y/you and things like that and how many different symbols are there?

capitalized letters refer to Dom/mes or Masters or PYL (Pick Your Lable), lower case letters refer to submissives, slaves, pyl.

As far as symbols... I have no clue how many there are. :)

Hello and welcome to the Board.

Here is a link that excellently covers abbreviations, symbols, terms, etc.

Happy reading.

There are 16 symbols of BDSM.

They are the arik, the kullel, the sin ta, the orehan, the ze, the vuna, the yop, the q'arel (sometimes spelt karel), the gabib, the jin mao, the bola, the fonjika, the shesh, the bagat, the pagat and the great bongcheeba.

Of those 16, only the last eight are canonical.

Most were created by the inventor of BDSM, the Marquis DeSade himself, of whom I am a direct descendant. If you expect to be taken seriously in the BDSM world, you will learn those like the back of your hand. You can ask Angelic Assassin for pictures of the symbols, he has them all.

Please feel free to ask any question you like. I remember how hard it was learning this stuff myself.

Actually This/this Is/is Nothing/nothing but an online fad that got started online. There is nothing significant about it at all.

I had to quote you to read the whisper. And no, you didn't ... another of your 'esteemed' posters here did. And her word is valuable.

Sorry ... i'm really sorry ... i'm having trouble typing this because of the giggles for the second time today.

i read that line and the first thing that came to mind was "steamed clams."

You know, the thought of you giggling ... just scares the bejeesus out of me :p LOL

oh yeah, and on topic ... the whole cap/non-cap is something that some people do because of the Dominant/submissive "differences" ... we don't do it, we think it makes it difficult to read - kind of like stuttering, only you're typing instead of talking.

Kinda like reading the obligatory, "top, dominant, master, sadist, bottom, submissive, slave, masochist, whatever the fuck you are" inclusionary bullshit without mentally running out of breath or patience.

Good Lord, you got me started on a rant http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-8/363868/2cool2.gif

Pity Netzach didn't see this first Marquis ...

Here's a link, however for the first non-canonical. (Lovely memory inducing word there Marquis ... thanks.)

Sorry to cloud up on the fun.

SD, the words Marquis so happily provided are unrelated to BDSM. He's having a little fun and i hope you see the humor in it.

Do you have any other questions regarding BDMS, its symbols, tenets, etc.? We would be happy to help. Right Marquis?

Sorry, I don't know anything about BDMS, but I'm always happy to help. :D
