The violet wand is what i have and is strange this one is a good 60+ years old.

Yes it still works it has an adjustment knob you can get a cracklin sound and it feels strange or get a good shock from it.

The shocking would be a little painfull on some areas.

It does look nice when the gas lights up it is violet looks good it would make a better light on the tv.
