i was cleaning myself up just a sec. ago, and i felt something raised on my skin just on the edge of the opening to my vagina, i examined it, and it's like a cut, and it started bleeding, i have a pap appt. in like 2 weeks, but i was wondering what i should do? do i really need to go to the doc. soon, or can i just take care of it somehow myself until the pap?

None of us can really give you accurate advice based on that description and the fact that most of us are not medical professionals. I'd suggest using some good old common sense to decide by thinking about things like:
-How big is the cut?

-Is it on the bottom edge of the opening, or somewhere else? (Sometimes I'll get a slight tear there from really enthusiastic sex or insertion, dryness, or some other activity)

-How much did it bleed? How long? Is it still bleeding?

-Is it causing you pain? If so, how much?

-Where do you suppose the cut came from? Shaving? Sex? Maybe a slight tear due to aggressive motion, dryness, tampon use, etc.?

-Does it look infected and/or do you have a fever?

-Based on the above, do you think it'll heal fairly quickly? The vagina/vulva generally does heal quickly, so if you think it'll be okay without immediate medical attention, wait a few days, take it easy, and see what happens. Do you have any conditions such as diabetes that might inhibit or prevent healing?

Everything Sweek Erika said as well as try and keep it as clean as possible and an OTC antibiotic like bacitracin or neosporin isn't going to hurt any. Maybe a pantyliner so the ointments dosn't ruin panties and you can get a better idea of how much it is actually bleeding and how often.

it's actually just a little tear. it kind of freaked me out because it started bleeding... i noticed it right after sex, so i'm assuming that's how i got it. it quit bleading after like 5 minutes... it was a little sore when i was walking around work at first, but it doesn't bother me anymore. how long do you guys think should i wait before sex... ballpark???

Ummm...until it heals and feels completely better? In my experience, it usually feels healed in a few days, but that depends on a lot of factors. Then, make sure you have tons of lube, are very aroused and relaxed, and take it easy.

actually if you can get away with it, don't wear any underware during the day. Plus you should always go to bed with no underware on. Let the air get at it. When you return to eork on Monday like everyone said before put some neosporin on there to help with the healing process.
