I Hate You

DL, I'm 6' tall and weigh over 200 pounds and don't really care what people think of me. Some people think I'm unattractive and a representitive for Lane Bryant (Plus size women's clothing store) had at one point asked to try out for a modeling career with them. So, you take the good with the bad. I joke a lot about the way I look but I don't for one second think of me as being any better or any worse than anyone no matter what their size.

Don't fall into the same trap that a lot of women do and that is the "I'm fat and no one will want me" trap. It's simply not true. I can speak from experience, there are tons of men in all shapes and sizes that love bigger women and we've seen several of them speak up on this board. And gentleman, I thank you for that.

Two words, boobs and hips. Skinny chicks don't have the nice soft round curves regular girls do but on the other hand my one ambition in life is to have a more substancial gap between my thighs...you know right up there by your pussy.

I disagre with Dragonlady. The men I've met in real life, and on the board, LIKE that I have curves and am not stick-thin.

I've had a history of yo-yoing on weight. Lost a lot to look good for my wedding day 4 years ago. Gained some of it back over the next 2 years. Lost some of that and have kept pretty steady the past 2 years--a bit heavier than on my wedding day but not by much now. I am not 400 pounds, but my ribs don't stick out like a model's either. And men--especially MY man--sem to like my looks.

You need to like how you look, before anyone else can like it.

I like to look at skinny women! Some of them are very sexy ladies.

However, ...

Rubenesque, and Zaftig are words that "Madison Avenue" needs to learn, because I like to lust after women who have some curves and won't bruise me with their hipbones.

You can tell women who are comfortable with their bodies, no matter the shape. They are far more attractive than women who think they have to live up to some "popsicle stick with pimples" image.

Headline News has periodic spots on what's new in fashion. Most of the models look like they would rather be getting a root canal than what they're doing. The rare model who smiles and looks like she's proud of the way she looks stands out like an oasis in the desert.

Be happy with what and who you are. When you like the way you look, men will stampede to your door with candy and flowers (trying to get in your pants.)

Ok...here goes...

Why should we discount physical appearance? It is what gets our attention initially and there is sound reason behind it. I need to be physically attracted to my partner...or it won't work, however no matter how attractive she is if she is absolutely stupid, mean or just dull it won't work either. I have a good friend that makes no secret of the fact that that she is extremely attracted to me. She is a sweet intelligent great person but I am not at all physically interested. I enjoy her friendship but that is all it will ever be...I don't come right out and say it but she knows. It isn't necessarily a weight issue it could be any number of things or a combination...
F'rinstance I think Cindy Crawford is pretty..but I am not the slightest bit attracted to her. Same with Shania Twain...(Shut up Xander!!!:D) Marilu Henner I like and Jennifer Gray from Dirty Dancing(B4 the nose job)

As for the good reason it has to do with natural selection...Health. Men tend to be attracted to the more healthy appearing females (and vice versa for women) simply because of genetics...healthy mates means healthy offspring. That is why most men do not like the Kate Moss/Calista Flockhart type...very unhealthy looking...

Personally I like good muscle tone and plenty of it...active and healthy...not perfect...I like curves...

Don't know if this made any sense...why should I start now?
