I happen to know (some useless bit of crap)

They did.
Okay, I just checked. I couldn't really tell from the Fellowship scene. They looked more like a second pair of arms there. In the opening scene of TTT they look more like wings, although not too large. I think Jackson went with an ambiguous look there.

Funny though. I've seen the trilogy 100 times and I was convinced there were no wings. Which means only one thing. I have to watch the trilogy again. ;) :D

IHTK that the Danish word for donkey.. sounds almost the same as the Russian word.
And it is spelled almost the same.

IHTK that Metallica's Master of Puppets is in the Library of Congress

IHTKT...
  • The plastic tube at the end of a shoelace is called an aglet.

  • A wig used for covering the genitals with hair is called a merkin.

  • Long before it was called a hashtag, the little tic-tac-toe symbol that appears on a telephone keypad was called an octothorpe.

IHTK the rules behind numbering federal interstate highways. (Though a few exceptions have slipped in.)

And that exit numbers increase going north and east, decrease going south and west.
People like to point out Interstate 99 is an egregious violation of the rules but there are no others available. The highest odd number not in use, I believe, is 67. 65 and 69 run through Indianapolis, which is 400 miles almost exactly due west of the start of 99.
