My aunt and uncle had cooleeloches (I spelled that phonetically - I don't know how it's actually spelt), which are these long skinny fish a few inches long - eel-like little things. My aunt was pregnant at the time, and a little...off balance.

Anyhow, one by one they began finding these fish in the morning dead, and halfway up the hall - a good 4-6 feet from the aquarium. How they got there, and why, is a mystery...but my aunt became obsessed with the idea that the fish were coming to get her in her sleep. They ended up not only giving the fish away, but the whole tank. She was a weird woman. The stories I could tell...

and amelia.. i'm thinking if i get another fish i'm gonna name him Spot, or Monkey. but it is sad to see a fish dead on the table cuz he killed himself. i mean really, how bad could a fish's life really be? he doesnt have to feed himself or clean himself or deal with daily stress, except for maybe which way to swim around the bowl today.

Sorry for your loss

<Hugs> to you it is hard to loose a pet/friend. We have had 5 suicidal fish in the last year and it is really hard especially when my 3yr old is the one to find them. He says "put some new batteries in it mommy and make it all better" We just buy a new one and love it and make it part of the family. Good luck and take care.

i can name my fishies whatever i wanna name them... and i dont have to name one of them spank... i think having two and naming them Fluffy and Monkey would work well. then i've got a Fluffy Monkey in my room

dont know yet... i stuck him in a different thing of water in hopes that maybe he hadnt been out of the bowl very long (i figured he had been since he wasnt moving and his eyes had that glazed over look). he's still sitting in that right now. i just dont have the balls to do it right now.

i'm just glad i at least found him. his colors blend in with the desk and i almost didnt see him. he landed on a silver cd.. and with his bottom side being silver, and top side being gold.. and the desk being the same color as his topside i really almost didnt find him. at least i knew to start looking when i noticed only one fish left in the bowl.
