Yeah, I'm a procrastinator.

But it paid off. The beautiful tree was only $5.00 and is still green. It filled my car up, and now my home, with a sweet pine fresh scent.

This is the first year I've had a real tree since I lived back home with my mother, I'd forgotten how much I missed having one. My ex has asthma and we couldn't have anything but fake trees.

My son was so excited and I let him pick it out on his own.

This is my first Christmas being the only adult in my home. I'm so proud of myself for getting it on my own and putting it up all by myself. Sounds silly I know...

Just wanted to ramble for a minute. :)

I know exactly how you feel, Kitty.

I felt like Superwoman after I got the tree into the house by myself this year. :)

Merry Christmas beautiful one.

Hmmm... tree, I knew I forgot to get something this year... oh wait it's just me here... I don't need no stinkin tree.

Good for you, His_Kitty! Last year I lugged home a tree for the first time all by myself and it was a true feeling of accomplishment to get it up.

I wasn't going to have one this year, and while being practical, it was a little depressing for me. My little brother called today and when I mentioned I didn't have a tree, he asked if BB2 was home this afternoon. When I arrived home tonight, Bluesboy met me outside, made me cover my eyes and walked me into the living room. I opened my eyes to the biggest damn Christmas tree -- it crunches at the ceiling -- already filled with lights and ornaments. It's simply amazing. What a sweet Christmas gesture.

There's something about just the small things, isn't it Ruby?

Things most wouldn't really think about... but once you do them on your own you feel such a huge amount of accomplishment.

Who cares if its leaning too far to the right? Or that the branches are a bit thin in the back and the side?

Merry Christmas you sexy sweet chica.

Gil_Favor doesnt have a tree this year, as a matter of fact, Gil hasnt had a tree in about 7 years.:)

Honestly I probably wouldn't have one if I were all alone myself, Ice... but I thought my son needed one more than ever this year. :)

Wow someplace, that was such a terrific surprise! Even more so because they decorated it for you... lets just see if it magically becomes undecorated after the holiday's. ;)
