I know I'm not.... not really.

But my oldest has has her first loose tooth. She danced around singing "I've been waiting my WHOLE LIFE for this day!!!"

I have to take her soon to by new clothes and school supplies for kindergarten.

I never even thought I'd have kids, and now they're growin up on me.

I'm envious.

Hold onto those memories. I know you value them. And, I know you know they are precious. You're a good mother. :rose:

I don't have kids, but my younger sister is having her third one in August.

Everytime I see her kids and how much they've grown I feel old. My neice (6 years old) writes me letters now. I can't believe how fast she's grown...she's like a little lady now.

Blah.

lol... only you would measure age by political process.

Yeah, they are. It's actually kind of cool. I never had that loose tooth thing when I was a kid... the dentist was required to remove 'em because they refused to fall out. So this is kind of a first for both of us.

And thank you. I try to be.

Since our youngest child became a grandfather two years ago ... I find it dificult to relate!

I'm jealous.

You're very lucky darlin.

Keep Your Eyes Open!

Before you know it, they'll be off to college....or running around with guys like me!
*Seriously, smell every flower with them, see every sunset with them, and taste the snow as often as you can with them..share every moment you have. They will be off in their lives in a blink of an eye, and you'll only think how short of a time they were children. You'll see your immortality in their eyes, the smile of a hundred generations of your ancestors in theirs, and the music of life that is their laughter! Enjoy! :D :rose:

My 6 (almost 7 year old) has been waiting "her whole life" for her first loose tooth also..

Went to the dentist last week.. and she gets to wait atleast another year to 18 months before that event. She was pissed.. I was happy :D (means my baby isn't growing up just yet).

When the dentist told her she didn't even have her 6 year molars yet.. she said.. "Can I still turn seven, even if I don't have all my 6 year old stuff taken care of?"

She kills me sometimes

PCG.. you aren't old until your oldest either starts to date.. or drive. My oldest is doing both. I'm old! ;)

I feel so old

I see your seven presidents, Muffie. And raise you four.

Hope that makes you feel a little younger. Sure makes me feel old.

My kid and your kid need to hang out Freaks. You and I could just drink some rootbeer floats and laugh our asses off.

Ah my friend - this is all good things... we don't age just because our children do - hell, they help keep us young!

"Children are only episodes in someone else's story," as someone once said.

Just remember that it's your story, PCG--and you're the storyteller.

Old? Hell I don't feel old either but I'm going to be a grandmother in 2 more months! Time flies when your having fun!

Yeah, but three of them took place in about six years and if you were born during the reign of the prior one, then hey, you could have been born when he was doing his eleventh hour pardons so you could feasibly be only as ancient as Dixon Carter Lee.

Unless you're talking about University Presidents, in which case is your name Moses?

That puts you back to Truman or Ike. Man that is old, hehe.

*as I grabs my cane and feablily walks out of the thread*

I've been around for 10 presidents.

Axel went back to Truman. He's older than you!

You're only an Ike. Three prez's older than me.

I should be young enough to worry about my kid's loose tooth. my youngest is in the Navy, and both my older two are of legal drinking age!

And I'm a first term Ike. Late first term.
