I love it.

I had mixed feelings, but Lucky loves it...and I like anything that makes pretty women smile, so....

I'm using the vbulletin 3 skin, which is the closest I can come to the old look.

If you go all he way down to the bottom of this page, you'll see a drop-down box on the lower left. All those are "skins", or graphic envirnments. You can fool around with those till you find something you can stand.

Muahhhhhhhhhhhhh
thank you thank you

It fits on my screen now yayyyyyyyyy

Depending on how much time you spend here, the new look will be imprinted on your brain and you will have forgotten all about the old one in no time - till the next change....

I don't really like it very much, mostly because I don't like sudden, radical change. I tend to be rather set in my ways. However, I will get used to it and, after that happens, I will complain when it is changed again.

I like the part that says that somebody is online or not. It gives my age wrong but that doesn't bother me. Dammit!!! The licking tongue is gone!! That was my favorite smilie.

It's possible now to go back to all the posts I have made on threads since the first one. Possibly I could have done that before, but I never did.

:D Anyhow, I WILL get used to it.

I didn't like the look of the default setting I started with, but a simple change of the skin and all is well. I like the feature of getting a preview of a thread by waving the mouse over it. I typically resist change, but I think this one was a good call. Nice job, Manu.

Boota..i'd noticed that too....but i don't always get the preview...pobably me not waving my mouse right ;) It's a cool feature though :)

I think manu needs to change the default setting...no one's liked it so far *L*

I gotta say the best feature I've seen thus far is the VB code insertion. No longer do I have to type my text into a dialogue box and then redo it because it wouldn't fit.

Simply type the text normal, then highlight the disired text and click the Bold button. Or Italics, size, Font, color, or all of them for that matter. It's all inserted properly for you.

The other boards I post at have been using this feature for a long time and it's a relief to finally see it here.

HOORAY!!!

Anyone know if the age number will remain even if you delete your birth year?

I never put my birth year in the first place, and I'm now listed as 41. In my case, it's an improvement.

The default skin hurt my eyes a lot. I've ended up with the vB3 Default skin but was close to end up with Synapse Fixed. I kinda like that one.

The vB3 doesn't hurt my eyes though and another board I'm on recently changed to that skin (with slight differences).

Progress. My brain has adapted to the smaller font. I can't use the vB3 skin of the others with big fonts because they have the user info on top of each posts. Which sucks ass. Because the biggest problem here is IMO the

giant

space

between

posts.

If it wasn't for that, I'd be as happy as a pig in mud.

Ok I'm not seeing this big space between posts that everyone is talking about. I'm using a 21" monitor and the space between frames is 1/16". Even on my laptop the space is not noticable.

Ok so I have to get used to some new colors and a few things being in different places. It's not like they moved all the keys on my keyboard around. The buttons on my mouse are all still in the same place. I may be old but I'm still able to adapt.

Hmm. Which skin are you using?

Hey Liar Imagize Liquid is kinda ugly but the posts appear closer together because the AV's are back over on the left not in the big bar across the top...don't know if that's any help? :)

Aye, that's better. I used Citrus Liquid, which was the same way, but with lot of extra padding. This is much more to my liking. Plus, it doesn't have tiny fonts. Yaaay. Thanks. You rock.

The forum default is now very much like the old Literotica skins! Before the change!

God bless Manu's little cotton socks.

Thanks Liar,my pleasure hon, we're just going to have to fiddle around with this pretty beastie until it behaves! I'm wondering if the submissions pages and other parts of Lit will all eventually get the makeover? It still feels like my favorite pub has had a decor overhaul. :)

I'm using vBullitin 3.

I'm guessing maybe you are all talking about the big blank banner at the top where your avatar and info are. But that is something I think I actually like. Some people have sigs that are a half a page long and on the old boards it was sometimes hard to tell what was post, what was sig and where the next post started. The distinct border and header make it a lot easier to separate.

the new look...

<looking around, kind of confused, because I hadn't been on in a while>

Wow, this is kinda strange. I was just learning to navigate the old landscape, being the computer illiterate that I am...now, I'm wandering around, trying to familiarize myself with it all...
Well, I'll keep on keepin' on, and hit this when I can...if you notice me doing anything too stupid, bear with me! :D
