I've been up since the early hours and had a snack of beans on toast about an hour ago.

Just now, still peckish and without thinking, I ate a banana.

I won't tell you what my guts are doing this very second...

I've just gotta remember to stay away from the prunes.

:D

Damn I just opened a PP thread... I knew there were reasons I don't do that........ :)

You'd better not eat toast anymore if it has that effect.

Beans on toast? What kind of beans?

Is there anything you guys won't eat?

I mean I am proud of my Scottish backgroud. But Haggis?

I remember ordering a 'pizza' back in about 1974 in London... It was a concept you had yet to grasp.

But fish and chips now... I wish they had those down on the corner. God they were good.

Beans on fucking toast. A new one on me. Live and learn.

My condolenceses about the Queen Mother. I will miss her. She was a real fire ball. God Bless the dear lady.

p_p_man, in the world of somatic disorder significance interpretation and diagnosis, liquidity in the bowels indicates that you've been accepting too much crap from people around you.

Have you ever considered throwiong a bit of shit back yourself?

Just as therapy, of course.

At the moment the liquidity of my bowels has nothing on the volcanic popping eruptions in my stomach!

Oops must rush, be back when I can!

More than likely Baked Beans on toast, an English staple.

Baked Beans = Pork n Beans

I haven't had them in about 15 years!

One of the women I work with was asking me to bring in some of my family's traditional English recipes. I had to ask, "Have you ever had English cooking? If you have you wouldn't ask for any recipes!" Thankfully my Mum learned to cook in Belgium.

Warm baked beans? Cold baked beans? Why on toast?

You British is the funniest peoples.

It happened over 24 hours ago but the after effects go on and on and on...

Teach that image is exactly how I felt when I started the thread. Even now I'm burping up the taste of baked beans and banana! :D

To answer your questions baked beans (from a tin) in tomato sauce heated up in a saucepan and poured over two slices of toast is one of those good old British standbys for a snack.

For a meal (usually breakfast) you have the same thing but with eggs, bacon, sausage and for the really famished chips (ours not yours, as in fish and chips - the big fat chunky chip!) as well.

But I do not recommend the banana!

:D :D

I don't get the 'kippers' (sp) for breakfast either. Fish for breakfast?

To each culture their own eh...

I won't be trying beans on toast any time soon. If ever. Yeah, I can pretty much safely say I am never going to try beans on toast... Bleech.
