I do it just for me.

I loved your music thing ksmybuttons! What a wonderful way to cleanse the soul.

I don't do anything as dramatic as that but about once a fortnight my girlfriends and I get together (without the kids and hubbies) and have what we call our 'head job' nights......no its not what you are thinking! We take it in turns to give each other facials, eyebrow tweezing, hair colouring etc We don't stop at the neck either, sometimes we tend to get carried away and start on the manicures, pedicures etc.

We play music, gossip and giggle and watch video's over a bottle of wine (or ten) and nibblies......needless to say I have returned from one of our 'head job' nights looking worse for wear than when I went.

All in all its always a great night.

Sky diving or rock climbing. they are so solitary I can really get inside my head. It gives me such clarity that isn't available to me when surrounded by my kids. Of course the sky diving makes for a hell of a lot quicker thought process.

On a general basis, I read, but every 3-6 months, I like to go see somebody I care about that I don't get to see too often because of distance. Vermont, even in the dead of Dec/Jan, can be one of the most fun places to be, if you know the right people.

Time out for me.......... Write what I wanna write, not what has to pay the bills........ Create art work I wanna, not what has to pay the bills..... Play my music keyboard and hope the neigbours don't complain :) ....

Time out, I'm making more time for that this year :)

Read

With the crazy things that happen every day . . . and with my schedule I like to read a good book,
put on some Miles Davis jazz, and have a glass of wine. When summer comes I like to walk. And I return phone calls! *smile*

So, other than sex:), what do you do that enthuses you to keep going?

You mean there are OTHER things that will enthuse me??

I doubt it;)

It all depends on my frame of mind and how much time I have available for me. Unfortunately, there never seems to be enough.

I write, paint or am returning to my music. After a long drought, I am playing guitar and piano again. That really does it for me, if I can find an unterrupted hour! :D

Otherwise, going to my hometown for a weekend does it for me as well. A rural town in the mountains, slowpaced and peaceful, recharges my batteries.

MUSIC

Nothing better than music for me.
It can change any bad mood I could have. If I have a bad time, like the kids making my life miserable, I just put some good music on (rock, prog, metal or even classic) and after 10 minutes of less I'm all revive....
