I Detest Windows 7 and ms 2010, garbage!

I expect that one day my StarTrek computer that I speak to and it speaks back, will engage warp drive without my permission, and I won't have a clue where we are going.

Actually, I do use voice recognition for some work, and I can get it to read my stories back to me....so, yeah, not far away....well, not warp, enstein would lay a brick....

had ms 2010 on a trial basis, just puchased a new in the box ms 2003 now if this damned windows seven will run it!

Hey, St. Penis, instead of the pejorative 'conservative' moniker, why not: hy do all the wise, vintage, real Americans bother with a shitty site like this?

Know thine enemy.

There is not a single left winger here, call em what you want, who can take me on in a debate, not a single one will even try. Over on the AH, a socialist gentleman, Pure, did, for a while, attempt to explain the joy of slavery in a commune, but he found himself laughed at by all.

Ther are only a few hardcore socialists here and they never divulge thier basic foundations of completely controlling a population as their end goal.

The rest are usually female wannabe's who just want daddy to take care of them and they just emote, they never think, they can't.

So Merc, to call you out, please illustrate your philosophy of sacrifcing the individual for the greater good of society.

By what right do you claim to take a single penny from me? Or occupy a single moment of my time?

I have said this before, but it is worth repeating as often as I can for it is so very, very sad. Young women of child bearing age in the sixties and seventies, falling for the bullshit of over population and ZPG, zero population growth, chose not to have a family for a faulty and destructive political ideology.

Merc, that is the kind of human damage your philosophy has done, is doing and will do if someone like me doesn't stuff it right back down your throat.

Those poor girls, now in menopause with no family and never to have one; you and your ilk are to blame.

So, come on, Mrec, trot it out, your defense of sacrifice me to your fucking greater good.

...waiting...

Wrong thread?

Sounds like the guy that put you machine together didn't know what he was taking about...

Chrome is not part of Windows, any Windows OS. Internet Explorer on the other hand is, but you don't have to use it, just ignore it and never, ever let Windows Updater download and install anything to with IE.

So I really think the guy who built you machine for you is fucking with you big time. I've only had problems with the Yahoo toolbar shit when I tried to use IE. So I stopped using it and switched to Chrome and/or Firefox, although Chrome is far superior to Firefox.

As for MS 2010, I kind of like it as long as I don't use that stupid .docx extension then everything is copacetic.

Hate windows 7?
Everyone said Vista sucked too.
I haven't had a problem with it.

Who did your install, Some one that actually knows about computers or did you have some one like the Geek Squad do it.
I pay a guy allmost as much as the damn computer cost to come over and do the complete install and pay him to come out once a year to service and upgrade it.

Good luck.
I also agree with most of your coments back to the commies, I don't bother argueing with them anymore. I found it to be not worth my time.

Vista did suck.

I'm running Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit in my Windows partition and it's fine. I still prefer Ubuntu for anything that doesn't require Windoze though.

The 64-bit variant of Firefox ("Waterfox") screams on Win 7 64 bit machines.

I'm sure I have the installation disks for 3.1 around here somewhere if you'd like to go retro...what? no floppy drive?

I have the floppy drive, and it works because some of my oldest draft stories were on 3.25 inch floppies. I transferred all those that were on 5.5 floppy floppies but I still have the computer with both floppy drives, a CD read/writer and USB so if necessary I could still copy from 5.5 inch 360k floppies.

I can't manage the 8 inch floppies nor the punched cards. :(
