I've been trying to write a lesbian story for some time but I can't! My mind goes blank! It's strange I know, being a woman I should be able to write one, but for some reason I can't get into the groove of it. Do you guys go through issues like that too. Is there a particular category you've always wanted to write about but could never do it?

I had the EXACT same problem. But, on a dare, I said I would write a LS-story for 2003 Survivor, and I did. It was hard, VERY hard.

See, I have this fetish that I like guys with really, really big dicks. Small-dicked guys turn me off. And women have no dicks at all, so I had serious problems coming up with a sexy scenario! Strap-on, dildo... didn't work. My mind was blocked.

Finally, I just got down and wrote the damned thing, imgaining the whole thing like a regular Erotic Coupling-story, only with 100% foreplay instead of cock-penetrating-pussy. And I gave the guy a feminine name.

It's not my best story, not at all, but hey, I managed to write a LS-story! I feel so professional!

Word of caution, though - it had really strange effects. One week after writing that story, a strange woman hit on me in a public place!

I don't know if she visits Literotica..?

It's not all that hard Jessy, I think you are making more out of it than need be and thus making it harder than it should be. If you just remember that lesbians are people like any other characters you write with the same drives, desires and problems everyone faces. For the actual sex scenes you can follow Flicka's idea of just writing a purely foreplay story and you shouldn't go too wrong.

Alternately you could check out some of the better lesbian authors on the site and get a feel for what they do. Immitation is after all the sincerest form of flattery :) If you build a strong character I think the sex will take care of itself for you.

Hi Jessy, I don't know if this will help, but when I first signed on at Literotica, I used to visit the chatrooms. I was new to chat, and I still am for the most part. But I soon learned that in chatrooms you can get pounced upon. That's okay. It's what erotic chat is all about. But one night I got pounced on by a man, and I'm a heterosexual. I thought about it, and decided if I was going to write erotica I had better get used to giving people what they want. I spent three hours creating extra characters, scenarios and actions that I would never consider in real life. My companion said he was well satisfied. I was not, but then I like the touch, taste, sight, smell and sound of my lovers, and I like them female. Although I got nothing from the experience sexually, I did gain the satisfaction of knowing I can write gay male sex if I need or want to. You just shrug and get on with it. It worked for me. If it's new to you, maybe you could try visiting chat and looking for a same sex partner to experiment with. The ones over there who do not write erotica, mostly seem more than happy to find they are cybering with someone who can.

Actually, it's a bit more than foreplay. But if you are hung up on cock, just imagine your lover is a guy with a really small penis that you'll call a clit, and it is located just above his bunghole which you'll now call his/her pussy. You lick that too. Now as I often suck on my lovers nipples as his are every bit as sensitive as mine you look at it in the same way.

Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions and yes i"m gonna read some of Colleens work because I hear she does some amazing lesbian stories! Thanks again everyone!:rose:

Hey Jessy :)

While I am flattered I think you would do a lot better checking out the works of Destine and Renzajones. They both have an excellent feel for the genre and both have wonderful styles that flow very well and are a pleasure to read. My works are not really on the same level IMHO.

bah! Your opinions don't count. Just because I've been lurking, don't think I'm not keeping an eye on you. Your writing rocks as much or more then anyone else's. :p

What I've noticed most is the stories that turn me on the most are the ones with string character development and plot because it brings a certain "realness" to the character(s). Sex in stories is pretty much unexciting without the rest.

ps. Colly really is grrrreat at the lesbian stories ;)

Writing in a category that's not your kink? As long as it's stillabout regular sex (involving people, gay or straight, and a minimum of other tools :) ), it wouldn't be too hard I think. People are people, and IMO a good story is much more about the plot unfolding and the sexual tension between the characters than the actual humping. Can you write about a man lusting for a woman? Can you write about a man going down on a woman? Do that, and just omit the man.

Since I yesterday promised Svenska that I'd give her a gay male story, I think that's how I'll do it. The technicalities regarding how they go about having sex, I think I'll pretty much just "apply all kinds of sex ectept coitus" and see what happens. You don't have to be gay to write a gay story. It might help a little, but I think that is marginal to being a good writer of stories in general.

And that, Jessy, you already are.

*HUGS* and Kisses to my favorite Katt. Your opinion is a lil on the biased side too though ;)

According to the films I've downloaded, there can still be penetration, Ice. Think of it as a guy having to fuck his girlfriend in the ass because she has her period - and then just exchange that bleeding hole with a couple of dangling nuts!:D

*enjoys this immensely*

I actually saw a very, very cute scene in which a guy sat on top of his lover, took the cock in his ass, and rode his lover, swaying his hips, just as if he had been a woman.

Very sexy scene, and the eye contact of the lovers was both intense and sweet - a major turn-on!

I always wanted to write in the category "most read stories on Literotica", but alas my heart just isn't in it when it comes to writing about characters screwing their own mothers/sisters and even the research (watching Jerry Springer) didn't seem to help. I guess it's because it's fricken strange.

But sounds like you're into the whole LS thing, Jessie, so how come your mind goes blank?

The only thing that really keeps me from writing more is my own darn laziness most of the time, although the constantly-busy excuse is a good standby explanation. I do stick to categories I like, though. I'm sure it's very professional not to, but I'm sure you produce better stuff if you're enjoying it as you write.
