I can't log in!!!

Ok.....I've tried both IE 5.5 and Netscape 6.1
I go to the main literotica page, click on Stories & Pics and then Login

It brings me to the new login page http://members.literotica.com/?forward=/members/main.php

I put in my nickname and password and click on login now, and all it does is refresh the page. It won't let me log in! However, if I login here, and click on Story Index at the bottom of the page, and click on login, it brings me to my author page.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

It's not just you Poker baby. The whole world has the same problem except for me. I gotta direct line into Literotica cause Manu doesn't want me showing up on their doorstep and seducing Laurel away from him with promises of kitties and guacamole... yeah, that's it... and, um, um, he doesn't want me to, er, um, show up and um, um, take nekkie pics of him and, er, um, use them in the bathroom like they were from playboy, yeah...

Here is my less helpful, but still somewhat relevant answer:

We have had several complaints from people who are having trouble logging in to the new member area. The majority of people are having no problem, but something is strange with a few people. We are trying hard to figure out what might be going wrong.

Your post has been most enlightenening! Any other specific info you notice on what happens when you try to log in might be helpful in tracking this bug down.

Okay. Yesterday, like everything worked. All I had to do was show up at the site and no problem, it already knew who I was (didn't have to login or nothin).

But, like, today...this sucks. It doesn't know who I am. I go to the login page (www.literotica.com/stories/login.php) and try to login and Oops! You know, I get that page with the Erica on it and like...

Geez!

Now I reply to a post, and suddenly the F***in site knows who I am?

This is like, so weird, you know?

It still doesn't work!

I tried the http://members.literotica.com login without success. I tried in IE5.5, Netscape 4.7 and Opera 5.12 (Yeah, I'm a sad case) and it failed in all three. All it does when I hit enter after completing my ID is refresh the screen with blank fields.
The only way I can get to my 'Control Panel' area is by logging in at the foot of the BB Index page, then going to Story Index page and clicking on the 'Login' tag there, and I'm in. But at least that way I CAN get in.

hi laurel and manu, just wanted to let u know that the new system doesnt seem to be keeping tabs on the votes correctly. it states that ive only had 1 vote in the last three days, but i know i have had more than that! just wanted to let u know still seems to be a bug or too...thanks chris

I have had troubles breifly last night, but they cleared up. My hubby, Lokev, still can't log in unless he logs in using the login function on the bottom of the Lit Disc. Board page. We havn't noticed if this is significant to specif browsers, or not, since we both use different ones, and I can't log him in on mine, and he can't on his.

Yes, that was it...the wrong page, the old page.

The old pages keep cropping up in my history: login.php, main.php, etc.

Members will likely need to delete history files, cookies, etc. to get rid of this stuff for good and follow the NEW straight and narrow.

Wait! Did I just say "straight?" *shudder*

Yep.
I use Lynx for my browser, so nothing ever surprises me.
Nobody supports it.

What is worse, I went to the new site someone, (Laurel ?)
included in a post on this thread, tried it, and
suddenly I wasn't logged in anymore.

Oh, well! People on the writing sub-board are getting
a lot of responses from me. It's the only way I can log on.

Here too. IE 5. Netscape 4.7something. The Login page just comes up again and again.

I login here, from controls go to Stories, the click submit, then click the "this link" and it brings up my profile, submissions etc.

It's a long trip.

logging in

I have been having this specific problem ever since the board updates. I use a variety of browsers between my 2 work cpu's, my home cpu and my roomie's cpu. Basically the only way for me to log onto my account (as gilly pointed out above) is to log into the BB forum. Then select the stories link down at the bottom of the page. If you then select the login option near the upper right, it will automatically log you in and bring up your profile information. No other direct links seem to work however, despite whichever of up to 8 different webbrowsers I use. Hope that's of some help out there gang.

Forgot to mention...

Forgot to mention one other thing that just occurred to me (come on, it's like nearly 5am and I've gotten squat for sleep the last 2 days), but I know for certain it's not browser. I clean my links, cookies, etc out on my cpu pretty much nightly here at work. However, while my name does not log in from the stories link, my wife's account will on the exact same cpu. (convenient having a couple of accounts to test with between the two of us). Hers logs right in, mine keeps repopping to the same name entry screen I had just been at prior, so yer not alone out there guys, and I would wager it's a profile issure, not a browser one. Now... back to looking like I am doing something here at work. Hmm...

you can post if

you click control panel at the top of the bulliten board, log in and then go to the story page and click log in. Bam! You're in! Work arounds are like puzzles. You never know where you'll end up.
