I'm a forty three year old male in good health. I've noticed recently that I feel full all the time even if I haven't eaten. If I eat more than a very small portion I feel very bloated and uncomfortable.

I tried to research it and read about Celiac disease and Irritable Bowel Syndrome and what kinds of foods you're supposed to stay clear of if you have those, but some of the articles contradiced the others so I'm confused.

I've also tried to modify my eating habbits to eat more slowly and chew more thoroughly. Usually I wolf my food.

I haven't seen a doctor yet but I suppose I will in a couple of weeks if it doesn't go away. But I was wondering if anyone has any other tips if you've experienced a similar thing.

Go to the doc. I had the same symptom. Gastric lymphoma was the diagnosis..But it could be anything. This isn't normal.

I experienced the same thing after a dental emergency... once I wasn't so numb, well, it was a rough recovery with complications, and I wasn't hungry at all, right, and now whenever I eat, I get full enough to feel like I'm gagging on just the smallest amounts (compared to my former huge appetite). I don't feel full all of the time, just when I am eating, I can't stomach all that much.

I swear my stomach shrunk. It's easing up a bit now, I actually ate two meals today, but it's taking a while. Right now, I'm hungry, or at least a little peckish, but the very idea of eating makes me feel ill.

So I dunno, it might be as simple as, were you sick and didn't eat much for a couple of days? If something upset your balance, like illness or allergies, give it a few days and it should be back to normal. If it keeps up, I'd see a doc. That symptom can be related to chronic liver issues, but it's often a first warning sign, an indicator to ease up on the painkillers, alcohol, and other liver-hitting things... the sort of warning sign you should listen to and get clarified by a professional health care worker.
