And I don't care.

Now your going to hell! Mwahahaha!

Hopefully. ;) I've got some nice tea and some lovely biscuits. Feel free to take as many as you want up with you. Oh, and don't worry about the dog, he doesn't bite.

Nor should you.

If you keep God in your heart, She'll know.

You know, I am actually having a bit of trouble doing that very thing (a long story).

BUT - my kids are at Sunday School because my husband took them. That's a good thing.

I've decided I'm not going to talk to God until He apologizes.

In all seriousness.....I think we all struggle with our faith, at some point, whatever that faith may be.

You don't have to go to church.....I believe that our "church" is all around us.

What? No coffee?

Oh - I forgot.

It's hell, isn't it?

Oh there's coffee alright. Instant. Or that liquid stuff Og hates so much.

If you want God's apology, check out the fourth Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy - So Long, And Thanks For The Fish. It has God's final message to the Universe in it.

Sarahh, after feeling crappy for most of my life because I thought I had lost my faith I finally realized I never really had it. I want it though, and that is harder to live with. You, I believe, have it, so you will be fine. I know this. God does not apologize, but you will probably, seemingly out of the proverbial blue, find (be given) the grace that will be so much more satisfying than a banal apology. You have such goodness and love of life is why I believe that.

I have coffee. I have very good coffee. When we make it black, we mean it. None of this sissy dark brown stuff. Warning, it's very hot

I agree with rgraham, perdita. You have goodness and love of life and so much compassion (for even the silliest of twits on Lit).

If faith truly exists, then you must be loaded with it.

I skipped church, too. My husband and I did go to Sunday school, but when I remembered that the Chancel choir wasn't singing today, we just sort of hung a left outside the chapel and sidled out to the parking lot and went home.

I go to church five days a week, eight to noon, sometimes more often to put together a newsletter or the annual report. It's my job; I'm the secretary.

I have Sundays off.

I have faith! But not in any "God!"
That's the reason I manage to go to church (when I do). My main connection to faith (in goodness, hope, etc.) is other people. Their faith keeps me hopeful. Not that that's what you meant Lewd, just used your lines as a connection. P.

Last time I entered a church, they screamed at me, threw holy water in my face, pounded a sharp wooden stick into my chest, then hogtied me and tried to burn me at the stake.

Sigh. And all I wanted to do was use the bathroom. :(

Did you go to Blarney's church again?

I gave up on Priests along time ago

as far as I am concerned I have helped more people than they claim to have. The last good one I saw died aiding the 9/11 victims...they just dont make quality religious icons anymore..all they do is talk..talk..talk ...not do do do. They all need wives to make them men....as far as I see it.

And the priests that abuse should be executed and then excommunicated.

God won't apologize by the way...he will wait for you too.

We all go through bouts of shaken faith and disbelief..but in the end faith hope and love are all we have.

Go away, Blarney

This is my thread. I was having a nice and cheerful and fun discussion with my friends.
