and also with the women's right to choose.

Thus, I sit on the fence.

OK, thats the first time Ive ever had a raisin come out my nose.........

What was it doing in there in the first place? Inquiring minds want to know. :D

My ass is far too frequently the butt of the jokes.

It worries me imencely...

No fence sitting for me. I'm pro-life all the way. It isn't just the woman's body that she is choosing about, it's her baby's too!

I got pregnant at 16 and gave my baby up for adoption. I am also adopted myself. Murder is never the right choice! If you can't take care of your baby, give it to someone who can't have children of their own. You will be giving them the greatest gift anyone ever could!

Ok, I better stop now before I really get going about this!

And you still look cute with that poky piece jammed up your ass!:p

Touchy subject. I am pro life to. I dont think anyone has the right to commit murder. Especially to someone who cant fight back.

You had to explain? How perfectly considerate.

Well. Good thing we got this out in the open.

I don't fuck pro-lifers.

So I can cross you off of my list, right?

You and me? We don't have a womb between us.

So, whatever.

That's unnecessary.

But, you got the first Amendamentalization.

Someone please explain to me the difference between a cell and a fetus. Since we have a number of institutions who are endeavoring to clone a human, should I feel bad about having a tumor removed? After all, it has all the genetic material it needs to become a human.

I am firmly pro-choice. Doesn't mean that I think an abortion is a good thing, but I just can't see it in the same black and white way that many pro-life folks seem to and maybe many pro-choice folks as well. Although, I have never heard anybody saying that an abortion is a good thing.

A cell is just a cell, but a fetus, when not killed, will become another human being, complete with a soul and everthing!
It has the same potential to become a human at any point during gestation, not only after 24 weeks!

A cell contains everything needed to become a human being, complete with soul (whatever that undefined term may be). Both require a tremendous amount of support to get there. I am still not really seeing the difference.

WTF

Those pro-lifers who bomb abotion clinics and murder doctors are nutcases. We should puck them up and send them to Iraq or some such place.

You can't force a womanto carry a baby. What if she got pregnant as a result of rape? What if the baby had some sort of defects and incapable of enjoying it's life to full?

Stop posting on my thread, you nutcases. I told you I'm sitting on the fence!

Pro-Choice All the way

Hey Life is great and all but shouldn't even be here. My mother made stupid choices. First was getting prego in the first place. Secondly, she carried out being prego for nine months and presto! Baby here, dadda gone! She had no education either to fall back on. I grew up in a place I shouldn't have and if you think adoption would have been better, think again.

I new from the start of active memory that my step-dad was not my father and I wondered my whole life about my real pops. But that's auto-biography stuff I don't need to get into.

This much I understand: People are dumb fucks, especially in the heat of passion. Most people are not fit for parenting. The Earth can't take anymore people. Most countries, cities and neighbourhoods are a terrible place to bring up children. Our brains are vastly underused because we spend all our time combating society instead of learning.

I think it's a total riot when people say: "What about adoption?"

Think for a moment what it would be like seeing your child, the one that popped out of you, being carried off by some strangers. And you are supposed to trust them to look after and raise a part of you? I don't fucking think so! If I were ever to consent to parenting it would be for good....

UNGAHHHH!!!! Pro-lifers piss me off!!!! It's like they're fucking blind and don't see the repricussions of their actions. I can't even write anymore on this. My thoughts are (sigh)

I'm cool...Carry on with your discussion.

A single cell has only the possibily of replicating itself. A fetus creates a whole NEW person. One single cell, say from a tumor, if left alone will never grow into another person. Not without some very ethicly questionable scientific intervention. A fetus on the other had, needs only to be left alone to develop into a unique human being.

Ok, not trying to pick on you tonihgt,

But try making a plant cell into a human. It wont happen.

A fetus is a fully formed baby, even if it cant live on its own yet. Unfortunatly, by the time a woman knows she is pregnant, there is a heartbeat, pain and movement.

OK. Not tying to pick on you any more tonight, but follow the whole thread through...Yes, for those who don't relly want to read, I should have said HUMAN cell, but I guess I thought it was assumed. I don't believe that a fetus is necessarily a fully formed baby, until it has reached the end of its development in the womb.
Websters says:"...a developing human from usually three months after conception to birth"

Not many fetus are 3 months are going to survive without a geat deal of support.

Nope

You blame your mother, for your Dad running off?? Cmon

But it is just another example of how unfit people are to carry on.

I do love life and I'm doing the best I can. A growing success. But I know thousands of people that aren't. The natural resources they consume. Damn, I hate this subject.

My mom did a great job with what she had but you know, it could be better for everyone.

I did meet my father eventually. Great guy but I'm glad he didn't raise me.
