I live in a nice quiet little house, out in the country. We moved here about 5 months ago. Well, today, I have both kids, cause the older one decided breakfast looked better being puked up, then in her belly. So, they are laying here watching Little Bear on Nickolodean.

Just the three of us, all in the living room, and I hear someone walk down my hall. I figured I was just hearing things after I looked to see both kids sitting here eating chicken nuggets, and laughing over Little Bear antics.

After a minute or two, I hear what sounds like plastic bags being rustled all around. I look back at the kids, andneither are doing anything at all with plastic bags. So, I shrug, and turn around again. Damn noise kept going. And going. So, finally, I stood up, and went to the kitchen. Nothing in there. A huge pile of bags on the table (ok, so I slack off in the cleaning dept sometimes), but nothing there. Ok, go back to the living room. It stopped while I was standing in the kitchen, but now it is going again.

No pets, no open windows for breeze. Just noise. Freaking me out.

I now know I am losing my mind.

it's the pregnancy thing....my wife said the babies sucked her brains dry.... ;)

seriously though....if you have an attic something may have gotten in there....

why dont you move the bags and the noise from the hall can be attributed to the house settling...

Gilly, I lost mine years ago. you'll get used to the noises and voices in your head after a while ;)

Well that's at least comforting!

Its real fun to have conversations with your "OTHER" brain in the middle of the night btw ;)

As far as being freaked out..I'd say ask Mistress about her little experience at my house one late evening, going up the stairs.

Well Gilly I started hearing things a few months ago. That's not so bad. Then i started hearing 'voices' oh yay that makes things better don't it? not if you answer them, oh boy was that a mistake... Once you start 'seeing' things that arn't there. Then your in trouble. You havne't lost your mind yet.

(oh btw That wasn't a joke)

My house has ghosts..

We have had them as long as i can remember..

My son had a ghost friend named Mikey.. he was pretty cool.. moved shit around the house, turned off lights, didn't like it when we went on vacation. He totaly ransacked the house while we were gone.

My daughter talks to my brother, he died 5 years ago. I know it's him, because she was only 9 months old when he died and she knows alot about him (stuff we have never really talked about when she was around).

Before we carpeted the upstairs you could hear them walking around up there. It's weird at first, but if they aren't bothering you it means they are nice ghosts and willing to share "their" space with you.

Gilly.. ignore them.. obviously the ghost (IF that is what it is) is wanting you to know it's there and friendly.. if it wasn't a nice ghost it would have appeared at night and NOT in a friendly way..

*NOTE* i know.. i sound like a weirdo.. don't put me down. I've done alot of studying.. and i'm a true believer in ghosts. Someone may not agree with me, and i really don't have the time nor the energy to argue my point right now :)

Such funny looks

Hearing voices is okay, unless they tell you to ride public transit, nude. Then I'd ignore them!

If you want to get really freaked out, I'll pull up the old true life ghost stories that Siren started a few months ago. I couldn't sleep for a week!

NO! Anything but that one again!

Ok, this must be pay backs for taking a 2 hour nap at 8pm. I am wide awake, sitting here, in the dark, minding my own buisness, when a dog starts barking RIGHT under my window. I mean, so close under my window, that I thought the damn mutt was in here.

We don't own a dog, and neither do two of our three closest neighboors. We are not all that close TO our neighboors, seeing as how we live in BFE. Well, so anyway, I get a bit freaked, jump at the first few, and force myself to turn on the TV for noise, and a light. Then, after the first dog sits there barking and barking and barking, I hear a second dog. Sitting out there growling. Never barked, just growled. So loud that I could hear him over my keyboard clacking, and the TV going.

I was telling a friend bout what happened this afternoon, and she starts joking around that those dogs must see my ghost. -sighs- That didn't help the jittery nerves.
